I've been waiting for an announcement - but none so far. My cart is loaded. And my assumption is that there will be a black friday sale - so hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Check the stickies. It started a couple of days ago. But I have to ask: What the hell is Black Friday? I can't see a "Friday the 13th" coming up any time soon, so WTF is it?????
I'm not sure where the name originated, there's probably a wiki entry for it, but it's the day after Thanksgiving where stores have started having huge sales to attract shoppers. A lot of people take that friday off due to the thursday holiday.
It is supposedly the first day of the year stores make a profit???? I doubt it takes this long for most of the big box stores to make any money but that's what they say 
in absence of a credit card processor problem fixed we are waiting, but our daily prices are always a sale
It's traditionally the start of Christmas shopping(the day after thanksgiving) where retailers turn their books from red (operating at a loss) into BLACK (operating with a profit).--therefore black friday.

The day's name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. Use of the term started before 1966 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that "Black Friday" indicates the point at which retailers begin to turn a profit, or are "in the black". FYI Dave

It's an old joke re the "mexicans". I once typed about "you 'Mericans" and someone read it as "Mexicans". So i've kind of been calling you lot from the USA that ever since. I sometimes forget that not everyone is in on the joke. I should stop doing it!
