I've seen the genny re-invented a few times over now, and not one of those re-inventions was any improvement on the original, properly executed, rather it was a superfluous exaggeration of the genny with complications added and marketed as the latest-greatest thing. I bought a couple of those re-inventions, which ended up in my cigar box, and went right back to my basic simple old school gennies. I can see no good reason to complicate a simple thing that just plain works.

If someone could build like a cottonless atomizer then that would be amazing!! No need to recotton and just go straight vaping. Its possible i guess

You're describing ceramic atomizers. There are some on the market, but most still use a little bit of cotton, to keep the ceramic surrounding the coil from oversaturating.

Other than the glass issues I've had with my Theorem, I have to say the flavor is every bit as good as any SS mesh build I've tried. I'm thinking of getting an Avocado next. I wish the tank was a bit bigger, but then the tank on an Ihybrid Pure isn't that much larger, and the Theorem doesn't leak all over the place!

You started on something else, Tried a Few things............Found something that you liked and learned how to maintain.........and then you stopped your endeavor to further expand your horizons.
Stop blowing people off as if you have the one and only answer. Everyone has a preference that fits Their needs/Life style.

My Genny's will sit in storage until the day I am once again forced to fiddle with a leaky messy less than favorable tank.:glare: and yes, I have about a Dozen in storage.

Volkswagen's and Pickup trucks serve their purpose.:2cool:

I always envisioned the PV evolving to a single unit with variable nic, flavor, and volume. Laser fired vapor chamber that almost never needs cleaning. The flavor cartridge could be swapped out or there could be 3 separate flavor cartridges in the mod so changing flavor is a click of a button. Flavor concentrates are tiny by volume.

The only thing you fill in the PV is the pg/vg base. It could hold 20mls easy. It would work with precise fuel injection style tech for the mix going into the vape chamber. The whole unit would be self contained. It could even have fan assisted vapor out of the chamber if you wanted to blow enormous clouds.

Variable nic would be killer. Need a quick fix, crank it up. Want to sit back an relax while chain vaping, turn it down. Don't want any? Turn it off.

I honestly believe this kind of tech is more than possible if innovation is allowed to flourish.

Glad it's just not me! I've got a DID that I've never been happy with, an AGA-T that works when it wants, and bleeds all over! My ZAP, meh, I can get it to work, but it sure doesn't travel well, and after a day, in a wheelchair, at Disneyworld, I was pretty much done with the Ihybrid!
I'll take the glass problems with the Theorem, and the bottom fill on a Kayfun lite and be happy, thank you.

I'm sorry to hear that, I have 3 DID's I'm supremely happy with and a 4th on the way. I'm the biggest DID freak you will every come across. the AGA's, not so much. In fact I found the AGA-T's to be outright pieces of junk and not worth the breath it takes to draw on them, or the effort it takes to coil them.

So how are you building that DID? Please don't say it's with cotton...

Nope, it was SS mesh, I couldn't get it to stop shorting the coil. Oxidized the wick, oxidized the coil, fiddled and fiddled and fiddled some more! I think the biggest issue was it was so small I can't get my fat fingers in there. Mine is a clone BTW, so that might be a big part of the problem?

Ummmm.... yeah, that could really be a part of the problem. Another thing might be how you are winding the coil and with what. If you are winding it straight onto the wick you will invariably get uneven coil loops that are not of uniform diameter or spacing, and therefore heat unevenly as they do not have uniform contact with the wick. Fat fingers need not be a handicap if you employ the Petar K method of coil winding, which uses a 2.5 mm drill bit to wind the coil on. Please note that this requires you to know how to roll a 2.5mm wick with the mesh you have chosen.

One then inserts the drill bit with coil on it into the wick hole of the genny, drawing it tight around the shaft of the bit with pliers or better still a pair of hemostats, and fastens it down tight on the center post having already locked it down solid on the negative post of the deck. At least that's how I do it and I'm pretty happy with that method for nearly 3 years now.

What guage wire are you using? Kanthal? SS? Ti? What is your ohms target?

This was years ago, I think I tried 32 and 26 Kantal? I was always aiming for 1.2 ohms, I do know that and I tried Petar's method a few times with no luck. Maybe now with the coil master setup it would be better? I don't know. Like I say, I found bliss in the KFL's and moved on. My "true" gennies sit and gather dust now. I like the flavor and portability of the Theorem, wish the tank was bigger and wish I didn't break glass on the silly thing, but the flavor is on par with any genny I've used.

It's a fact, gennies aren't for everyone. If KFL's suit you better and you are happy with them God bless :)

The DID is a good one, for sure. My other favorite genny was the Kraken. I was a hard core genny user for a couple years. It was only when I became a squonker that I retired my genies. I also have a couple Cobras, an AC9, and a Bliss, somewhere. Early on, when genies were beginning to become popular, I even helped teach a couple clinics on ss mesh genny building, at a local B&M.
The problem was, although several of the above mentioned authentics were great, the market became loaded with cheap knock offs that were not so good, and often harder to build on, which discouraged people. Examples were the RSST, the DIDalike, and the AGAs. They all worked, but the hardware, insulators, and machining was poor.

Everyone has their own rig that they like. Just vape safe!!
As for myself, i prefer my El Cheapo Aga Ts with poly tanks and standard DiD jam nut fasteners. And they don't even leak on me, and i tear them down and rebuild about once a month. Around $5 a piece.

Will fancy up my vape with my Lines, Temon, and Avocados after the big move

Meh. For me I began vaping as an exit to quit smoking. Worked well. But as the years went on I grew less interested in trying to keep up with the latest technology.

Some people are hobbiests and I get that. I'm in IT so I have the best smartphone and best computer at all times.

But for me, vaping is a lifestyle. I'll upgrade my setup if there is an easier way to coil or wick or diy.. but I'm not going to dump money on something that gives me bigger clouds or guarantees me the best throat hit for less ohms.
