So for the last couple years ive been using a ego 650 battery with a 510 atty and cartridge. ( I know, old old school ). I recently upgraded to some ego twists and evods. This combo works great together. How ever it is to large to stealth vape and carry in pocket. The tanks don't seem to give the throat hit on the standard ego battery which I believe is 3.3 volts. sooo......... my question is.... does someone make a battery that is the size of an ego 650 that vapes at a set 3.8 to 4.0 volts?? It doesn't need to be a vv, just a higher voltage then the standard egos. thanks

You can vape the Joye upgraded Ego C 650mah at close to 3.7 in unregulated mode (orange fire button)... but, there are two things that happen then. 1. you need to recharge more often and 2. that voltage will diminish down to 3.2 as you vape so you won't be at that voltage the whole time. The Kanger Evod is 3.7 regulated. I haven't tried it but plan to. This is just the first link that came up in a search so you can read about it:

Kanger eVod eGo 650mAh Battery - EVcigarettes.com

This is something I find lacking in the batteries area actually. There seem to be all kinds of VVs and 5.0 batteries available but not many regulated 3.7 ones. And, of course, those are more expensive and seem a waste of money if one prefers vaping below 5.0. Its a niche that needs filling. I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone knows of others.

I can't get rid of the link underlining after I put in the link to the Kanger so hope this posts right.

A standard mech mod operates unregulated from 4.1-3.7 (and lower) and will last roughly as long as a 650mah if not longer. Might not be what you are asking for but its just FYI

Not what you're asking about but have you thought about changing out your coils for lower resistance 1.8 ohms and using an eGo 450 mah battery? That would be the smallest stealth device without buying all new hardware that I can think of.

I rarely turn my eGo Twists up over then minimum 3.2 volts when using 1.8 ohm coils in my EVOD clearos. I don't vape thick, dark &/or super sweet liquids and I know that anything with menthol or mint in it tastes scorched if I try to go over 3.4 volts. I accidentally cranked it all the way to 4.0 volts with a fruit only liquid and that was enough to make me wonder why I ever paid extra for the VV feature/hazard--lol. Most new heads seem to come with 2.2-2.5 ohm coils & my apple cinnamon liquid tastes better when it's warmed up a little so I just kept reminding myself of those facts while wiping my eyes, coughing & hoping I wouldn't puke in the car.

I don't understand the mechanicals..... are they unregulated? what is the voltage on them? what is the advantage other then subohming?

Yep... nothing there but battery and switch. Outside of allowing for really low resistance stuff, there are a couple of other reasons. A mech, especially bottom button ones like the K100 are compact. My K100, with a 18650, is a bit shorter than a Vamo with a 18350.

Some will say that the vape is smoother than a regulated device, but I can't really tell the difference to be honest. Technically speaking, they are correct... there's nothing fiddling with the voltage, pulse width modulation and all that jazz...

Plus, mechs look cooler. :)
