Haven't owned a regulated before, only mech mod and simple ego-t.

It's in Chinese but if scroll down has pics in English (im expat in china, am not advertise). 1-80w, 0.1-3.5ohms sounds nice.

Would like to know if it looks safe, and if there are benefits over a mech mod. Opinion? I know next to zero about regulated devices. Am worried as even mech mods i buy here break fast. I like that it can take two of my vtc 5 and is small.
Id never vape 0.1ohm on mech mod, how does this allow it safely.

The fact that you do-not know HOW it allows you to vape at low resistance, prompts me to ask you to please do your research BEFORE vaping on a regulated device at low resistances, please. The answer to your question being, in short answer, the device utilizes the dual amperages of both batteries to allow a safe 80w vaping experience. 0.1ohm happens to fit within the range of the battery limits, assuming you are utilizing good batteries, such as the ones you've mentioned in your post. A regulated device uses pulse width modulation, or a variant there-of, to boost the natural wattage of the battery by boosting the voltage during fire-button-depression, in a programmed up-down wave, which will land you at a vape that replicates the voltage/wattage you have the device set-for. Yes, it is safe. However, the higher wattage-limit devices (150+ watt devices especially) can/will reduce the life of your batteries, they WILL work safely for X amount of time. This particular 80w device should be fine for your batteries. however, if you are going to use a DUAL 18650 mod, you MUST buy a new PAIR of 18650 batteries, and you MUST NOT use those batteries in any single 18650 battery mod. When using a dual battery mod, the batteries used MUST have used in conjunction with each other each and EVERY time they are used. If you use one of the batteries used in a dual battery mod, in a single battery mod, you run the risk of stressing/aging one battery more than it's pair, which in-turn can cause serious issues down the road. ALWAYS keep battery pairs for x2 battery mods. I suggest buying 4 new batteries, marking them A through D, and always use A+B and C+D together, in your dual battery mod. NEVER use ANY of your A through D batts in a single battery mod or device. Good day, sir. and happy vape journey!

Are you sure the batteries are in parallel? Most dual 18650 mods are series therefore not doubling the amos.

huh? a dual 18650 REGULATED device utilizes the amp limits of both batts to allow for higher wattages. A regulated mod is going to use some type of pwm to boost the wattage, and step-down to use a lower voltage than what the battery(s) are currently putting out. At-least this is my understanding.

Yeah the way I understand it is:
Parallel allows the amps drawn to be split between the two batteries, but max voltage remains at what a single battery would put out.
Series allows double the voltage, but amps are still restricted to what one battery can handle.
This is all assuming married batteries and perfect conditions.

As soon as you put those batteries into a box mod that relies on the chip to regulate everything, then it all comes down to the chip or chipset, and what features or capabilities are there. Sometimes you can tell a bit about the chip by how many batteries it takes and if it takes them in series (most common in regulated devices) or parallel (more common in mech boxes) but usually the seller would want you to know what their device can do . so unless your suspicous of some claims, like a device that can do 200w on a single 18650, there is info on the chips/chipsets all over the place so you double check what the seller is saying against what the specs are for the given chipset.

I wont buy a regulated device were the seller does not disclose the chip used. And I double check specs.
