Is this a knock off Atty?

So Cal
So I got a spare atty from strictlyejuice after buying a joye510 kit at a retail location. The first atty I used that came with the kit died in about a week, but when switching to the spare I ordered, I noticed the bridge looked fairly different. On the one that came with the kit the bridge was much thicker than the one ordered.

Are non-Joye attys known to have this thicker bridge? The new atty seems to be producing better vapor than the first one ever did as well, but that could just be since it seemed to die for about a day.

Hey Pipes

You might try this with your 510 atty, we're big time 510 fans for a year now but use to blow they attys right & left. Found this dry burn method on one of the forums and it works great!

Dry burn: This is the best method we’ve found for rejuvenating a sluggish atomizer. You can only do this with manual batteries and it works pretty well. Blow out your atomizer from both ends into a napkin or paper towel. Screw the atomizer onto a freshly charged battery; do not put your cartridge on the atomizer. Engage the battery for 10 seconds or until the smart chip kicks off the battery, let cool for 30 seconds, engage again for 10 seconds, let cool, fill your cart and take a few primer puffs before inhaling.

Good Luck

Dry burning atomizers usually only works after prolonged use, as it is expanding the nichrome wire via heat, and "breaking" off the (for lack of a better word) caramelized crust of heated juice. I would say that it would take at least a month before you would need it.

The technique above should only be used with a standard 510 manual battery (or LV mod). If running a HV mod/Passthrough (not rated at 3.0-3.4V) this could cause the nichrome wire to become too hot, and burnout the atomizer.

For higher voltages quick bursts is all that is needed to revitalize a weak atomizer.

It's hard to tell, but the Joye bridge is usually thinner than the knock-offs and the white ceramic cup is more obvious.

It’s is really hard to tell, we’ve dissected several from different suppliers including a Joyetech supplier & we did not see a difference. It’s possible that they were all Joyetechs or all knock offs, humm! I start dry burniing my 510 attys as soon as the production starts to drop off 2-3 weeks tops.
