these guys have a unflavored nicotine base. you get to pick the nic mg level, and you have a few pg/vg ratios to choose from as well.
http://www.ecigexpress.com/diy-e-li...3mg-unflavored-nicotine-base-select-size.html

i'm new to DIY, and this seems awesome!
everything is already premixed. all you gotta do is add flavoring, and boom.

so, a few questions.
1) i'm wondering if many other companies do this?
2) has anyone used this one from ecigexpress, and is it any good?
3) does anyone else do this that has a good reputation for using high grade pg/vg and nic?

i know i want to start off using something like this, but i want to make sure that the pg, vg, and nic are all top quality.

thx

Yes, it's perfectly fine to use premixed bases as long as you just remember that the added flavoring will tilt the nic and pg/vg ratios a little, but usually it's nothing to worry about, e.g. 10% flavoring into a 3mg premixed base, is reducing the nic amount with only 0.3mg, so it's now a 2.7mg base instead of 3mg etc.

ecigexpress uses nicselect, or at least is listed to use that on the nicselect site and it's very pure nic of good quality, but it's usually not as completely invisible as e.g. chemnovatic(vapers tek or molinshop) and nude nic(i've read), mentioned above...

did some reading on nudenicotine. they seem pretty top tier. are they regarded as one of the best?

just figure if i'm gonna be doing this, i might as well buy the absolute best pre-made nic base possible.
(vapers tek doesn't appear to do the premade base, and would prefer to buy inside of the U.S. molinshop prices are in euro)

I am hoarding NN. With the Texas SB97 coming into effect on October 1 I ordered more today. Shipping will be slow due to recent remodeling and the sale.

If you like an invisible nic (no aroma, throat hit or peppery taste) NN is great. If you want some of the other characteristics of nicotine you may prefer a different brand. Some people use more than one brand. One for their tobacco juices and a milder one for other flavors, such as fruits and sweets.

Below is a link to the Nicotine Comparison thread that began in 2012.
A more recent blind comparison started in July 2015, I think, by Rossum. It is in the same thread.

looked through that thread a little, and noticed "vape Clarity". anyone use them?
they are better priced than NN, but i'm willing to pay more if NN is better.

from what i have read/seen/heard.....i think i'm prolly gonna go with NN of VC.
(EDIT: think i will end up going NN since they sell the supplies too and VC doesn't.)

*will NN no longer be selling after oct 1???*

I don't know anything about Vape Clarity.

NN will still be in business after Oct. 1. Oct. 1 is the date Texas online and in person nic purchases require identity/age verification. As I understand it, there is a $6.00 identity/age verification fee at the time of online purchase. Then, providing in person identity/age verification when some dude delivers the package to the door.

thats gonna be interesting for people out of state... How are they to know if my UPS driver verifies my age? are they going to pay for all the time and money that is lost each day from drivers having to knock on doors and wait for the recipient to provide ID?

An adult signature is required for delivery. The bill states "government issued ID". So, I guess most people will use a drivers license. The vaper will pay for the signature required. It is an additional $4.00 - $6.00, I think. This turns out to be a $10.00 penalty for being a vaper.

I could not find any provision for the aged or disabled. Not everyone can hear a doorbell or knock at the door. Not everyone is able to get to the door under all circumstances. There was some talk about interference with interstate commerce but I don't think anything has been done. Arkansas is the worst. Online sales have to be delivered to a dealer.

To me, SB79 is a passive aggressive means of destroying vaping in Texas. If you don't understand it, kill it. If you don't like it, destroy it. It doesn't matter that hundreds of jobs will be lost and millions of dollars will be going down the drain. It will do very little to prevent the under 18 population from getting vaping supplies. I sure didn't wait until I was 18 to start smoking.

This thread isn't about SB79, so I'll be quiet now.

This is good when you are first starting out...however once you get used to mixing its a lot more feasible financially to buy higher mg of nic and cut it down. I get 100 mg nic and I make 250 ml premixed nic base....takes only 9 ml of nic for my 4 mg nic base and I add my PG and VG. When I go to make juice I just have to add my flavors to the bottle and then add my base....A whole lot easier and cheaper. But don't start out with the 100 mg nic until you are used to mixing!
