is this due to PG or something else?

I am still smoking cigarettes, about 5-7 a day. I haven't been smoking cigs that long, just a few months, varying amounts. I'm trying to quit but not sure I'm motivated enough. I think I'm smoking for reasons other than the nicotine per se, as I also have used other kinds of tobacco in the past year, some of which have more nicotine (nasal snuff). Maybe its getting out of the apartment and escaping the worries in my head, since there is no smoking allowed inside. It's hard to quit for me, I'm so attached to the smoke break ritual and stinking like an ashtray.

I may have very mild asthma, it actually started before I went back to cigarettes (after many years being a non-smoker, the e-cigs were just my attempt to stave off relapse). The doc gave me a peak flow meter and some Albuterol in case I needed it. Those times I do feel my breathing a little shallow or my peak flow is down, I use a salt pipe until it passes. I have allergies to dust mites, mold, and that's about it.

Yesterday I vaped more than usual, really trying to push myself to spend more time vaping (and less smoking), vaping some "Minty Marlboro" I got at a local vape store. I was using a KR808 sealed battery and Kanger horizontal cartomizer. I first noticed the throat hit was very strong, then I started feeling pins and needles in my lungs and my throat felt a little sore. I felt chesty all night after that, even though I went and blew on my peak flow meter and it was OK (430, doc says anything over 420 is fine). This morning my lungs and chest just feel like garbage.

I sometimes smoke menthol analogs and never had any problems with asthmatic symptoms or chestiness, so this seems very new. Does this go away ,or is it something to be concerned about?

Oh sorry I forgot to mention... 11-12 mg is all I vape, occasionally I do 8-9mg.

12mg seems equivalent to a light cigarette, which was my preffered strength.

VG seems to agree with me more. But most shops around here seems to use PG heavy mixes. I'm guessing the stuff I was vaping was less than 10 percent VG.

Buy some 24mg juice and and mix it 50/50 with VG (vegetable glycerin). That'll bring it down to 12mg and over 50% VG. You can get a huge bottle of it at the drugstore for a couple of bucks. Make sure it's USP grade. Add a few drops of water to it as well because it's pretty thick right out of the bottle.

If you were vaping more than usual did you make sure to up your water intake as well? Dehydration can cause the symptoms you are describing with your throat.

Drinking pop or coffee will not cut it to keep you hydrated.

I know this is probably going to sound weird, but it's true so bear with me. Keep an eye on the color of your pee - the more yellow it is - the more dehydrated you are. Light pee is good. Something to keep in mind.
