Is this normal, or am I just having bad luck!?

Hello everyone! You may have seen some other posts from me the past few days on a few specific issues I am having, but since the number of issues seems to have grown, I thought I would compile everything into one post. I ordered a bunch of new products over the last week, which arrived 2 days ago.

I ordered the VaporKing Titan Starter kit (808 model) from V4L. I ordered the auto batteries, which after talking to customer service there, they suggested sending the manuals, so those are on the way. Basically, I was having to suck REALLY hard to get either battery to work, and it was making some REALLY loud crackling noises, and vapor would shoot out between the carto & the battery...and I screwed them together tight. That issue should be resolved when the manuals arrived..I hope. (But open to hearing other experiences with these products if anyone has tried them). I also ordered one of the 3.5ml tanks from V4L...when I tried using that, ALL i taste is plastic. (I'm using very good juice from BWB, and it tastes amazing on my tiny ProSmoke e-cig). Is it just because it is new? Any experience anyone can share on the use of those tanks would be greatly appreciated!

I also ordered a 510 Starter Kit, they have the little plastic tank cartridges. Again, all I am tasting is plastic. I plan on getting some Boge cartos for that, hopefully that will solve the problem? I did order a 312 Clearomizer, but even when I use that, I get this really strong plastic taste. Is this normal for these products? Does it improve after some use, or did I just choose products that have that tendency?

Any insight would be great. I was SO excited to get all of this stuff (and spent a good chunk of change) and am still using my little prosmoke, filling cartridges constantly, so I'm trying to determine if it will improve, or if I just made some poor choices. Thanks so much for listening!

Hi, the 510-T atomizers have some disgusting, tasting-like-a-factory liquid in them they use for testing them. That's why you should blow the atties out before use. If you haven't done that, that might be your problem right there.

If you didn't do it you can still do it now: take out the tank, blow out the atty from the battery side over a paper towel, wipe it out a bit and reinsert the tank. If it is too dry, you can "pump" some juice onto the coil by lifting the tank out about 2 to 3 millimeters and waiting for a bubble to rise or giving the tank a few hard taps. (If you overdo the pumping thing, you _will_ get liquid onto your battery ;) )

i'll chime in on the 808's from vapor 4 life. if you are not satisfied contact the company, they are reasonble in accomadating the customers
i find the vapor 4 life products far and away superior products from other vendors that sell 808's and cartomizers. i use the wow cartomizers they seem to be a better fit for the 808 batteries.
anyway the ecig set up did what i intended it to do and that is to get me off analogs, and save me alot of money as well as my health.

I know very little about you setup, but I am still a bit confused about your problems.

So you ordered a 3.5 ml tank from V4L. That looks like a cartomizer-tank, not an atomizer-tank so if the above suggestion to blow the atty makes no sense to you, that's why. I'm not sure why it would taste like plastic, but if you're using the same battery on which you can't get a drag, there must be something wrong with the battery. I am still a little concerned about how the KR808 can actually power a dual-coil carto-tank, but it seems to work out there so it should at least work a little for yo. In any event, even your carto-tank could kill your battery if you're not careful with the leaks. Wait for the manual.

The 510 slim is a good setup, but it probably gives off even less power than the KR808, and it surely will not work well with low resistance or dual coil cartomizers.

That's all I can figure and hope someone who actually used your setup will be by shortly.

It sounds like you got a bad battery with a poor connection. It does make a crackling noise, btw. I want to get the tank, but it seems a bit fiddly. There is a really good you tube video that gives an alternate way to fill it which makes sure that the juice gets into the carto in the center. Additionally, it doesn't work on ALL of their batteries. I have had really good luck with V4L so far. I hope that they are not going down in quality!! Good luck.

You can rinse your tank, drip tips, and 510 tanks in hot water or PGA to ensure they are clean. Then shake & blow the air out of them. I don't like metal drip tips because I can taste them it seems, but it's just my mind thinking I am. I use plastic drip tips on everything. I can also taste the filler in carto's, so i try to use atomizers exclusively. There are many factors that can and do enhance your vaping pleasure. Volts (batt) + Ohms (carto or atty rating) = Watts (warmth of the draw and how your juice burns) A general conscientious is 3.7V & 1.5-2.0 Ohms. I'm not sure what your batteries are producing, but suspect they are about 3.2V & coupled with a SR (standard resistance) ohm cartridge of about 2.5-3.2 Ohm is hard to produce the wattage to efficiently vaporize the juice you have. One other thing, don't try to draw on the system like you are sucking on a frozen milkshake. That is something I had to learn early on. Nice, steady draw that isn't tiring to your mouth is best. The things you have should work for you. Although a manual batt will be better. Try the boges! Your doing the right thing by asking questions.
