Thanks all for the feedback on this - it's good to hear everyone's stories and experiences. I'll report back with what I discover. I don't have another box on hand to compare it to but I do have an old T8 I can use for a close comparison. Wouldn't be the end of the world if they turn out not to be authentic - I'm an avid eBayer and they always side with the buyer when an issue is reported.

Exactly. And those sellers don’t last long.

That's unfortunate, too, because sometimes the buyer is a scam artist! Had a lady buy a brand new Lands' End children's coat from me (in their factory packaging and with all tags, too) and then claim it was not as described. eBay refunded her total cost including shipping from my PP account, when she showed proof that she'd mailed a package back to me. She'd sent me...her child's old ratty, nasty, filthy, well worn out Lands' End jacket! I took pics to show them what she'd sent me, and eBay didn't even want to look at them. I couldn't even leave negative feedback for her to warn other sellers about her either. eBay stopped allowing sellers to post negative feedback for buyers for any reason, in 2009 or 2010. I quit selling on eBay 3 weeks later...after 10 years.
I had a similar experiance. I called ebay on the phone and demanded to speak with a manager, had them review the claim while I was on the phone, and examine the pictures and explain why the case was settled the way it was even though I (the seller) supplied enough proof to show that the buyer was in the wrong. They ended up paying me out of their own pocket (more than $250) to make up for their poor decisions.
