I don`t know, but keep them away from the tarantula hawks, look it up.

I was out in the yard the other day and one flew by me and it was, I kid you not, about 3 inches long. It was very docile just going about its business but I had never seen one before and thought the end was here, LOL.

Dayummmm!

My son wanted it when he was 8. He is 27 now. I had no idea they live for this long. When you have something for that long no matter how creepy they sort of become family. I guess.

Who knew a big spider like that lived that long. And yet, it might only just have reached half his age. From wikipedia:
"Female specimens have been known to reach 30 to 40 years of age, and have survived on water alone for up to 2 years"

I doubt it. The purification process of nic would probably get rid of the virus. But I wouldn't risk it. Wash your hands, and don't vape around them, just on the off-chance. Testing on a stray volunteer tomato plant might be worthwhile, but a different batch or from a different supplier might produce different results.
Nicotine is commonly used as an insecticide. Is deadly to MOST organisms on EARTH.
But the OP asked, at the concentrations we use, would it harm a large arachnid? Small quantities are not deadly to large hominids.

I'd say if your tarantula is still up for his daily walks, chasing squirrels, playing a game of fetch and romping around the tarantula park, then he is probably doing ok. You'll know something is wrong when he stops greeting you enthusiastically at the door.

Maybe you could hook up a small fan blowing over the tank to keep the vapor from settling over it. I have tanks myself but for fish, fancy shrimp and an axolotl. I worry about the vapor that lingers near the tanks but I have never found any kind of film building on the water or any issues with anyone, they're just as active as always. I don't know if a tarantula would like a little breeze, but you could angle the fan and put a little shield so it just blows the vapor up and away.

Great looking tarantula by the way. Can't believe they live so long.
