I use 100% VG and it has more viscocity and is a little sweeter. Some flavours are the culprit more than the VG IMO
How long have you been vapeing? If youve only just started your taste bubs will change over time. You may just be sensitive to sweetness for a while.I read all the time that ppl have bought a bunch of juice that they liked but after a few weeks they dont like it anymore, it could be that you are in a process of change. I used to drink a gallon of tea with milk when I smoked but after i gave up I could only drink herbal tea and coffee which I never liked before.
Welcome to ECF :)

It is sweet. My main problem with 100% VG is how thick it is to use in a tank. I prefer 70PG/30VG mix.

If you want to thin it just cut it with a couple of drops of vodka or distilled water, some of the 100% Vg juices I use I can vape with my vivi nova no prob some need a slight thinning.

Are you using desert flavors? Some of them are sickening sweet to me. I don't know your preference, but you may try something in the fruit flavored line, or maybe even hazlenut. I would go for no more than 50/50 mix. I use a 70/30 mix. As already stated, taste is subjective!

I've been using vg for a long time now and i am beginning to think it is too sweet. No matter what flavour i get 100% vg is just too sweet. I recently put an order in for some 70%pg - 30%vg and i'll see how i like it. Does anyone else think vg is a little on the sweet side regardless of flavouring ?

OH i've been vapin for about 18 months. Tell you what i think. I think that the sweetness intensifies when the coil starts to clog up and makes it hard to draw. I found after rinsing out the clearomizer the sweetness is lot duller. I've never used pg but am going to give it a try. Just ordered 5ml 36mg "old holburn" 70-30 from paradise vapes. I'm tired of the sweetness and the thickness of the vg to be honest. And if it turns out to be rubbish i'll use it to thin out my existing vg fluid. In any case i am going to start mixing vg and pg until i'm satisfied. Vg's just too thick and i get fed up with tryin to suck a golf ball through a hose pipe...... hehehehe

Can you let us know about the "old Holburn" That was what I used to smoke in the UK. If its any good ill give it a try.I dont vape tobacco flavours generally but theres 1 i use which is El Toro its the only 1 Ive found that gives a true tobacco hit and i vape it when Im drinking :toast:

I'll do that flowerchild. Should get my hands on it on saturday. I'll get back to you and give you a full review. I am hoping it meets my expectations. Where did you get the el toro from ?

Thanks id appreciate that. El Toro is from house of Liquid. Have used them a bunch of times and they are great. They include a free sample in a glass dripper bottle so I have tried a few of their other juices and they are top quality IMO., theres a youtube review which is good I watched that and gave them a try and have been using them ever since.

I'm not sure where in the UK. ECBlend, and Mount Bakers here in the US are reasonably priced, and very good IMO. Johnson Creek is very expensive, but great reputation, and quality.

desert flavours flintlock. No i haven't tried them. Where do you get them from? Or should i not bother. huh

We can get up to 100 mg nicotine base. Any time you deal with anything higher than 36 mg, you need to be extremely careful, wear gloves, and must learn how to dilute it. That is an absolute MUST! There is a DIY sticky in the DIY section. Read everything in it before you attempt mixing your own.

Right yser. yeah i've been searchin for unflavoured fluids. Found a few uk sites at a very reasonable price and very high nicotine content of 72-74mg. I did notice that some US sights do some much stronger unflavoured e liquids.

Well flowerchild i got the old holburn today from "paradise vapes". Having been a old holborn tabacco smoker i know what this juice should taste like. I have to say it does genuinely taste like old holborn tabacco. You know the smell you get from the pouch, it tastes just like that. This one is mostly pg so no sweetness at all. Not getting a massive amount of vapour but being pg it's what i should expect. I wonder what a 50-50 mix would do vapour wise. I will certainly be ordering more of this in the future. Going to try a few other tabacco flavours from this vendor. They have golden virginia, which is what i'll try next, and a few other well known brands.

Thank you for the rundown..I am sensitive to PG but when I come accross a real good juice thats PG based i cut it and use first thing in the morning so the effect isnt too bad..i shall def be trying the old holburn cant wait to taste that old familiar taste :p
