hi everyone
I want to share this info to all the ecig new starters
starting out in my experience was with a ego starter kit and I would definately recommend this but for me being a 40 a day smoker
this soon started to cause me serious issues constant charging of battery, loss of power as the the battery became weaker, so I bought more batteries to get me through the day and although this helped the batteries did not last very long with constant charging and use
I started to look on the web for a battery that would last me the day but alas to no avail however I did discover a bigger unit claiming to last upto 3 days
without charging a power pack that would also charge my phone or any usb device
I decided on a whim to buy it and it turned out to be the game changer as this was a mod and it had vv/vw (variable voltage and variable wattage)
I had no idea at this point what vv/vw was but messing around with it I discovered a better vape so for you newbies out there with an ego or other pen style starter kit
here is an important fact that you need to know those type of units your using run at around 3.7 volts and the battery depletes with every use
the vv/vw units allow you to turn up the voltage and wattage of the unit to give you a more powerful vape I would describe the difference as smoking a light to middle tar cigarette as apposed to a high tar stronger cigarette
the unit I bought was a mvp 2 and it is still working solid today without any issues or loss of battery power
unlike my vtr or vamo v5 all very nice units and vaped real well but sadly the vamo is now no more and the vtr lets me down to often
I have not long bought the mvp 3 and so far its fantastic and as of now would recommend as your next step if your ego style kit is just not doing it for you
all the best

[Ego] type of units your using run at around 3.7 volts and the battery depletes with every use

Hey Steve, great info for a newbie for sure. I know for me, personally, the Ego just never cut it. I too was a 2 pack-a-day smoker, and the Ego batteries just never lasted long enough, and the toppers (atomizers) that you could put on top of them were extremely limited, and none of them really had the satisfying throat hit I was looking for. It wasn't until I switched to rebuildables that I actually quit smoking cigarettes. Anyway, that aside, the reason I quoted you:

There are Ego devices that are regulated (most are technically "regulated" to an extent -- they have a chip doing something in there). The Ego Spinner 2's are actually pretty versatile, and can fire pretty much the same range as an MVP2. Not knocking your MVP2 by any means, even though I have lots more advanced devices, I still have my MVP2 as a stand-by. I like it with a Nautilus Mini, it's easy to use and the battery can last forever depending on usage rate. I've been meaning to buy the MVP3, but before that I'll probably order the iStick 50W. It seems like the next logical step.
