Hey All,
I just wanted to post here and see if anyone else has had a similar issue with their joyetech Ego-C Twist, purchased from MyFreedomSmokes, or another vendor.

The story:

Today I experienced an issue with the Joyetech Ego-C Twist 650mah I ordered on January 19, 2014. I had the Ego-C twist set up with an iClear 16 (which I also ordered from myfreedomsmokes) and some The Vapor Chef juice. I had it in my jacket pocket while driving, and I put my hand in my pocket to take it out and vape, and I felt a burning sensation on my finger. So I quickly grabbed the e-cig, and it was super hot. The iClear 16 was emitting smoke out of the bottom and mouth piece, and to my surprise the Ego-C twist was stuck on. The button was not pressed in, nor was I holding it when it happened. The biggest issue was that I used the 5-click off feature before putting it in my pocket, the same as I do anytime it isn't in my hand. So how it got activated and stuck in the "on" position for what had to have been a few minutes is beyond me. I immediately took it apart, and hit the button a few times and it finally de-activated, but due to it being stuck on there was e-juice all over inside the battery, and melted the iClear 16.

I have submitted a message to MyFreedomSmokes.com and am awaiting a response. I will report back when I hear from them.

I wanted to report back that, I finally received a response after 3 days. Here is the response:
Andrew,
I would assume the battery did not turn off before you placed it in your pocket and pressed against your leg activating the battery which caused it to get very hot. If the liquid is on top of the battery where you screw the clearomizer on, you should be able to wipe that off and continue using the battery. I'm going to credit your account for $4.95 to make up for the clearomizer that burnt up. In the future be sure you see the button flash at you after pressing the button 5 times to ensure it's in the "off" mode. I do apologize for the inconvenience but if you need anything else from us just let me know. Thanks

Apparently they didn't read my original message stating that it was in my jacket pocket, so it isn't possible that it pressed against my leg and got activated. While I can appreciate the fact that they offered to credit me the 4.95 for the clearomizer, they didn't actually address the real issue: THE BATTERY IS RUINED! Which is ridiculous considering that the battery was only 22 days old when it happened.

Not exactly the way I had hoped their customer service would have handled the situation, especially since I have spent a considerable amount of money with them in a 2 week span.

I also just wanted to post their warranty policy taken directly off myfreedomsmokes.com:

Warranty covers product failure or defects only. Time frame for 30 and 60 day warranty is calculated based on the date the product arrived at shipping address on order and the date we were first notified of a possible defective product. When purchased with coupon codes or otherwise discounted pricing, warranty is DOA (Dead on Arrival) only (see DOA Warranty section below).

Warranty coverage becomes invalid and Freedom Smokes Inc. cannot be held responsible or liable for any product failure, property damage, injury, or death that is the result of product misuse, modification, or abuse. This includes the use of our products with products purchased elsewhere as we are unable to guarantee compatibility with products purchased from another retailer. Andrew (Randal),
I just reviewed your order messages and I'd like to say that you did explain yourself quite clearly, please be mindful that with the recent snow storms hitting us last week, it has put us back a few days (explaining why it took 3 days to get back to you) and we have countless emails we are trying to get to....The flip side to that is we may overlook some important details (like you having it in your jacket pocket, not pants pocket) while still trying to make our customers happy. If you check your messages, I believe we have fixed your issue.
