I have solved my problems I had with the basic evod clearo that was not working like I wanted it to. I have my first upgrade in the vapor world and that is a mini protank 2 and it's been fantastic! Smooth vape nice rich flavor. Now next on my list would be a mechanical mod (not sure which one) with a kanger protank 2 then after that I would like to get into a vv/vw mod and then from there hopefully start messing with the rebuildable stuff.

Uh, someone correct me if I'm wrong; but, Harvest, believe your next step should be the vv/vw regulated mods, THEN when you learn by using those, go to your mechanicals & rebuildables. :)

I still use those mini ProTanks and Davides and rebuild with 30 gauge Kanthal and cotton wick. Enjoy the heck out of them!

Yeah they are pretty much the same as said above but I went through 2 evod tanks in two weeks and about 5 coils and they worked good for the first day then they all failed. They either leaked or not producing smooth vapor or tasting burnt right away(I made sure not to chain vape it also). Just overall bad luck with them. The mini protank doesn't leak at all And no problems with the coils. Nice smooth vapor and really good taste. I wasn't getting much of any taste anymore with the evod just burnt taste. Plus the mini pt looks way cooler haha that's always got to be a factor!

My mistake on the vv/vw and mech mods side of things. I figured messing with wattage and voltage would be much harder than putting in a batterie and going. That's gets I have you guys here for right? Haha.

Don't feel bad, Harvest! All of us are still learning something new every day; and I'm real slow going. Just want to be safe with batteries, and you got to know them inside and out when using mechs.

This old lady started on the first version of the MVP. Still got it and love using it and the newer v2 model even tho I've got several regulated tube mods. Since the first MVP only had a volts counter on it, I am more confortable using that rather than watts. Believe it's just what you get use to using.

Have a lot of ProTank 2's and Davides both sizes and they've not given me any problems. I first learned to wick with organic cotton, and once I got that down pat, starte redoing the coils. Didn't take long for either, but did find my fading eyesight and shakey hands needed some extra equipment to accomplish a freshly wound and wicked micro coil of 1.8 ohms. 'Course, that's not subohming or chasing clouds.......that may come later!

If I may make a suggestion, when looking for a VV/VW mod, don't discount the Vamo V5 in stainless, for the money you really can't go wrong. If you don't mind waiting, I know you can pick one up from Fasttech for around $30. I have one and I use it pretty regularly as well as mechanicals with rebuildable atty's and a VTR.

Yeah to the OP.

You next step should be a regulated MOD either VV or VW or both VV/VW.

Mech Mods are for those looking to Cloud Chase and use Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers. Not manufactured tank atomizers, although you can use them on a Mech.

Using a Mech Mod means understanding battery safety and getting the correct batteries. Not only that but if you get a real Mech for the cost you could get 2 good regulated devices or one great regulated device and have money left over.
