Istick 20w 1-3ohms

I ordered a KFL+v2 and I'll be running it on my istick 20w which I know is compatible but I seen a lot of people building their coils under 1 ohm and the istick ranges from 1-3ohm

So I'm trying to find out how the ohms work in this situation and if I should eventually look into a mod.

According to Them That Know the sweet spot for a KF is about 1.5 ohms. I run mine at 2.5 ohms and am very satisfied. No, all the kids on the block don't point and OOOOH AHAAA when I stroll by, but I'm happy.
Your istick is a regulated mod and has adjustable wattage. Your KF likely has adjustable airflow. Just tweak your KF to make you happy.
Neither the KF or the istick were designed for sub-ohming

Regarding the KFL+: you don't want to run it too hot, due to the insulator between the posts. It's possible to melt it. For sub-ohming you want to get something that doesn't have any plastic parts near the coil.

IMO, with an iStick you should build 1.7-2.3 Ohms. If you build any lower than that you run the risk of removing any adjustability with the iStick power levels. I.E., everything above 3v will be too hot.

I build a vertical coil in my new shiny kayfun at about 1.4 ohms for my istick and run it at about 12 watts. Great flavour and a decent vape in my opinion. I haven't used anything else since getting the kayfun at a Christmas present from the wife.
