Then the way you're charging it isn't working. I've used an iStick 30w as pass through when I borrowed one. My friend uses hers when it's charging in her car and she's driving. For both of us, it has never died using it while it's charging.
Im using the charger provided with it. And after a short time of vaping while plugged in it stopped firing and gave the low power que as if it was dead

yep if you are charging your "passthru" capable device with lets say a 1 amp charger which is common. And your atty uses 3 amps of current 2 amps of current must come from the battery, therefore while you vape the battery is in fact discharging instead of charging. And most attys use far more than 3 amps of current.
I spoke with P Busardo about this via email about the reviewers not making this clear in their reviews. He replied back that they do say this but I had only seen him do it once in his reviews. Ohh Well.

And now the thought of a charger with more amps runs through my mind. Like say my phone charger which is 2.5 amps. But would that hurt the battery?

NO do not use a higher amp charger than the device is engineered for and virtually all of the micro USB charged devices only use 1 amp of charge current maximum.
Another amp or so is not going to make any real difference anyway, the circuit in the mod will only use what it wants which is 1 amp or less.
And you might damage the mod by using an improper wall wart. All you want/need is a 2 amp wall wart. Gives the mod all it needs plus does not work the wall wart too much so it will not be damaged. Again the mod will only draw 1 amp or so from the wall wart a bigger wall wart will not make it charge any faster or help with the passthru function.

Noted. Will not do that. Was just a thought. Still pretty lame that passthru is used incorrectly.
