Istick 30w atomizer to short error

I believe that means the coil in the atomizer(Subtank) is making contact where it shouldn't. Swap out coils and see if it reads the same. Try other tanks and you'll know if it's exactly a tank or iStick issue. I'm betting on the Subtank coil.
You don't say which Istick, or which coil for the Subtank. Low generally means the sensed resistance is too low for the device to power. The ST comes with (usually) a 0.5 and a 1.2. Manufacturing tolerances being what the are, the 0.5 might be a bit low for your mod. Try the higher value coil.
It's also possible that you''re just cranking the topper down too hard, crushing the insulator on the mod and causing the short. Snug is all that's needed.

Thanks for both your answers I switched the 0.5 coil out and put the 1.2 in did it a less tighter and it worked, thanks guys
Look at the coil you took out and check if you can see any long leads sticking out where they shouldn't be
