Okay, took everybody's advice and upgraded my Ego to an istick30w and a nautilus mini. This thing is great compared to what I was using! The clouds! The taste! Woooooooooo!

I just have a couple questions. . .

The nautilus box says that it comes with a 1.8ohm coil already installed. Great. The istick is reading it at 2.0ohms, is this normal or an issue?

I'm vaping the same juice I was on my ego, and I've been playing around with the volts (my first variable voltage) and it seems great but then it started gurgling. I tried the normal things that I do with my ego to get it to stop (blow through the airholes, check for leaks, cleaned the chimney, ect) it will be good for a few minutes, than back to gurgling. I'm using a mix of 50/50 juice and max vg (about 1/2 and 1/2) and I've tried the whole range of volts and the different airflow holes and it still gurgles. . . is this just a thing with the mini or am I missing something??

I'd say it very normal for the Istick to read .2ohm above, just the nature of the device, very rarely reads bang on the ohms, nothing to worry about, as cloudmann said, sometimes that does help but I would say it's going to read 1.9 in most cases.

blah. Cleaned the tank and the airflow ring. Again. Still gurgling. :(
The coil is flooding, is the O ring on the bottom of the coil, its been known to be missing on these coils..compare it to a new one ? Its been awhile but I think I vaped mine at 13w 14w

Yup, all o rings are accounted for. I'm going to try completely dumping it and cleaning it top to bottom and starting all over again. :( Just getting frustrated because I was SO PUMPED to get my first box mod. . . and now it's being ridiculous.
Most of us have been there, just a thought, are you using the older nautilus coils, they were kind of prone to flooding, the new ones are much better..

The new ones are vertical coils.

There were two BVC that came with it. Both look like this. One was installed in the tank already, that's the one I'm using. If cleaning it doesn't do anything, I'm going to assume the coil is a bust, and I'll have to switch when I get home, or deal with the gurgling. >.<

Try tipping your battery up (and taking a few hits). By tipping it up you will prevent more eliquid from being fed into the coils.

If you run that thing at too low wattage it will flood. And it's not easy to dry it out. You have to take the tank off and burn the excess off. Take the glass off and set it down upside down so you don't waste the juice. Crank it up to about 20W and blow gently on the coil while you fire it in 5 second bursts. Don't over do it and burn the wick. When you stop seeing vape and there is no more sizzle, put it back together and try again. Don't prime it again though. Give it a minute or 2 to soak up a lil juice, then try it out. If that doesn't work, the coil is a dud. I used mine for months before I upgraded and never got a dud, so you should be ok once you get the excess out of it.

Maybe you over primed it, I never drop any juice into the top of these vertical coils, it just isn't needed and does more harm than good most of the time.. Just shooting ideas

When I primed I just put a drop of juice on each of the holes and let them suck it up. . and then give it a few minutes to sit with a full tank. . . like I used to with my EVOD. . . I never even though about putting any into the top. Is that a thing with some coils?!

I'll try @Hans Wermhat suggestion next.

I've enjoyed the istick and new tank so far, I'm determined not to let a little coil flooding deter me now. :D

So maybe I'm just running it too low. I've been staying between 3-5 V since that's what i was used to with the E-Go. . . hrm. I tried the higher voltages briefly, but perhaps it's time to revisit. I was concerned about burning coils

In my experience yes, it is normal for an iStick to read resistance a little higher- it's not a big issue.

The gurgling I find a little more puzzling. It has nothing to do with the mod but with the atty. I have had a lot of gurgling issues with Kanger atties but never with a Nautilus. Is the coil head screwed tightly down. Or maybe like Rxsta pointed out - you might have over-primed it.

This is hilarious to me. I've been using a Kanger Evod with only ONE flooding issue (when I very first got it, I overfilled it and flooded it). The kanger NEVER gurgled on me. Step up to the nautilus partially because that's what I've heard, NO leaks, NO flooding. . . and now. Gurgling.

My sympathies - I know how frustrating it can be. There are many stars in the sky - sadly some of them are temperamental. Just be patient and try to observe what is happening. You'll figure it out.

No thats exactly how I prime all my vertical coils, never drip from the top with the vertical ones, seems you have done everything right, only thing left is you vaped it at to lower wattage and it flooded, once these are flooded they are a pain without a full strip down and clean. Clean it up and start off higher and see how you go...

Blow the juice out of the coil again. Make sure to use a decent amount of pressure. Cover the top of the coil with a finger, wrap the sides in a paper towel, and blow hard through the bottom a good 2 to 3 seconds. Do this 5 to 10 times. Then reinstall and let it sit for 1 or 2 minutes. Change to wattage mode on the istick and run it around 15 to 17 watts. See if this helps.

This. But the only way I ever had any luck getting it un-floded was burning off the excess. Also, be careful not to over tighten the glass. Totally unrelated, but if you ever do tighten it too much you will understand why I took the time to type this. Lol!

haha, that bought back a bad memory, after I took my rubber gloves off, I was straight on the internet buying a caged tank for it..
