I'm playing poker and the pit boss comes over and tells me I can't vape there (the FDA hasn't approved it)
well they may not know this but it cost them big time I will not play there I will not send my clients there or my suppliers .
i book ten to fifteen rooms a month there that ends now. God only knows how much they spend there well no more.

Good on ya. I have a short list at the moment of places I will no longer visit because of vaping policy and like you I make sure Friends/family etc know about it and why.

That depends I have actually been to an Indian Casino where smoking AND drinking were banned. LOL

Now that sucks. But it is up to the casino. Damn smoking laws influencing it all. And no drinking in a casino is just bad for business

Avoidance of anti-vaping establishments will be, I believe, the best incentive for business owners to educate themselves about the differences between analogs and PVs ...

Or not, as they choose ...

I'm waiting for the first "No Vaping" signs to go up here in SoCal, its just a matter of time. Probably already here, I don't get out much ...

The banning of a (still) legal activity out of fear or ignorance is an indication to me that they really don't want my patronage, so be it ...

They have the choice to instate an irrational policy, and we have the choice to spend our money elsewhere ...

Good for you ... I don't vape that much in public, although I have had one or two strange encounters while doing so. Once upon time it seemed like the growth of the vaping community was a good thing, but lately ... not so much. I feel like the world at large was a bit more open to vaping before it became the " new it thing". I can remember two years ago sharing stories with fellow vapers who generally felt it was easy to explain to the bar or restaurant manager what an e cigarette was, and to get their ok to use them inside those establishments.

I feel like like e cigs have become like the iPhone, everybody wants one, especially the young'ens, and this new found popularity of e cigs is scaring non vapers because now it seems like we are everywhere, and they are being surrounded by something they do not understand ... and people tend to reject what they don't understand.

Well, I don't think I'd want to play poker where vaping was allowed. There's always going to be people that take advantage of it to sit there and blow mega clouds of vaper at a table where the seating is typically pretty close together. And while it dissipates faster than smoke, it still carries the odor of whatever flavor they're vaping, which might not be appealing to me either.

Is open smoking allowed in this casino? If so I would tell them to bug off. Slots are one thing, but smoking AND vaping at a hight stakes poker table is rude imho.
Not implying that the OP did this.

Most Casino's allow smoking (somewhere), but very few allow smoking in the Poker Room.

Okay, so let me get this straight...we can gamble, and we can drink booze - for free, even, but we can't exhale water vapor.

I'm glad I got over my casino thing, craps is fun once in a while, but that's just silly. Every time I go to Reno or Vegas, that's all you see is people blowing cigarette smoke all over the tables and machines.

I have not had one person say anything to me in the casinos here in Vegas and I don't stealth vape in any casino.
Although, I'm not blowing huge clouds either.

You should have told them this!

I fully support your decision and echo all the statements made so far.

I'd also like to suggest that you send the General Manager a well thought-out and professional letter explaining the reason for your decision to not support their business (and telling others not to as well). Without it, they will probably not even notice that you're no longer doing business with them, or if they do, will not know or care about the reason why. The more people do this, perhaps the more it will sink in that we are NOT smoking or otherwise creating any health risks for their other customers.

Just my .02.

hmmm witch is the worse sin? Smoking Vaping or Gambling? If its a no smoking casino owell its there place their rules.

I had a funny exp I was in Poplar Bluff MO last Sun. I stopped at a diner. It was half smoking half non. I sat on the non side. I could not smell the smoke no one dropped dead, or threw a little tantrum because people were smoking. Everyone enjoyed their meal and minded their own business.

I found the exp quit pleasant. Its to bad this attitude dose not prevail everywhere. Instead to many people think its there place to decide what others should do.
