I'm waiting on Ody parts to be put on the website. I bought my Ody when they originally came out and I'm needing some parts. Imeo sent a message stating he was sending extra parts with the Ody order. Please list them on the website so I can order them. I'm also on the Notify list.

I think the reason smitty (and I) are antsy about parts is because of a couple of reasons.

First, it's far too easy to not get the parts you need because you weren't able to place your order the moment you get the notification email that they're in stock. It seems like the window of opportunity can be as short as 30 minutes. It's happened to me twice so far, because my commute is an hour or more each way, and because I work odd shifts.

Secondly, you have stated several times that the parts would go on the site once the preorders are complete. In the meantime, you have also posted threads implying that the last of the Ody preorders has shipped, so we're waiting on pins and needles... When you state that parts will go up after the preorders are done, do you mean Ody preorders, or Ody and Penelope?

I'm trying to think of a reason why you wouldn't post parts now so that they could be shipped with our Penelope's and I can't think of one. I'm curious about the reason for doing it this way. Can you explain?

That is my only concern with the GG RBA's. There's a inherent risk involved when buying these things. If something breaks or you run out of wicking/wire ect. then you're SOL. That is unless you're in the right place and right time to order the parts you need.

I too am constantly checking COV so I don't miss my chance at wick and parts. I understand that this isn't your fault, just wish there was a more consistent supply of these things.

Anyway, I'll just keep checking, and hope that I snag the things I need when they become available.

i would think the reason for this is because they have 1ooo ody to send out and some are ordered with the penelope and as you know that hasnt even arrived yet. and its only bruce and justin handling all this they must be already piled up with paper work to the ceiling. and adding all the spare parts and everything they would just be overloaded with work witch would probably make our ody+ penelope orders go out even slower, two people can only do so much , and they are already working really hard to please us all.

and as everyone knows gg stuff is rare and hard to get. appriciate what bruce and justin are doing here for us. complaining isnt gonna get you your stuff any quicker, when it goes up for sale it will go up for sale repect bruces business decision.

I'm merely trying to understand the reasoning behind his decision...not complaining. And truth is I would rather receive one package than get my Penelope's sooner
No doubt that they are working their butts off. I have not only acknowledged this but also expressed my appreciation. The Odys have either shipped or are waiting for Penelope's to ship together. Penelope's are not in yet, so why not sell the tidbits now. Give us the choice for one shipment of everything we want or multiple shipments if getting your Ody and pen ASAP is more important to you.

We would get many numerous requests to add parts to people’s orders, and it would more than likely back order us. By that I mean a delay in processing of everyone’s orders, GG or otherwise.

Not to mention all of the background processing work involved in adding (who knows how many) charges to orders already placed, then finding the order (which has already been pre-packed and set aside awaiting a Penelope) and adding the parts, it would be an organizational nightmare. Not to mention that we are right about to get back into GG processing mode for the Penelope when we receive the shipment soon.

In order to fulfill the amount of orders for parts we expect to have, it would cause a conflict with the time we wish to allot towards processing the Penelopes.

We only keep weekly business hours, we do not work over the weekends.

That is why we are not yet posting available parts yet.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope you understand.
