At least 5 times to be able to ask/post in the modders section... I dont want to spam but hopefully Ill get response here to be able to post 5 times... dont know what else to do... I have some technical questions for BigBlue about his EverCool mod (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/114901-evercool-variable-voltage-mod.html)... Ive made several other mods before this (experimenting) and now I have made this advanced one several times... I love this mod! Just need 4 more posts!!

I got one of the Texas Instrument circuits listed in the thread, made the mod, it works great, so I got another and another and another(TI circuits)... I also ordered some of the other similar circuits they have for variable voltage applications and I now have almost 20 different circuits to make mods with... its vaping NIRVANA!! Im re-discovering flavors because they are so much more robust and rich with this mod. I have upwards of 40 flavors and they are all almost new to me when using this mod. Hope this isnt considered spamming... I really need to talk to BigBlue... 3 posts to go!!

My biggest question is this: I have this circuit from TI (http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/pth08080w.pdf) and I cant figure out what potentionmeter to use for it... I know BigBlue would know if he would only look at the spec sheet there... and maybe he would even tell me the formula to use in the future should I find any new circuits to utilize... so I will know what pot goes to what circuit... as soon as I can post to other threads I will post pics of the mods I have already built with Texas Instruments amazing circuits. (2 to go?)

Sometimes even after you get your five posts, it takes a little while for you to be able to post elsewhere, because they somehow have to "release" you or something...not sure. Be patient. You're almost there. If it were a little earlier, there would probably be some real modders on here who would know exactly what you're talking about....

Shall I knock it out of the park for you with another post to reply to? lol I felt the same way when I came here, but actually found quite a few vets here happy to answer questions I didn't even know I had. I was all set with what I was going to buy after lots of reading and research. But thanks to some very nice vets, I did a complete 180, and completely changed my mind on my first order as well as having learned a lot more than I already knew.

Anyway, go for it, dude. You've got something to reply to.

Thanks Sharon! Ill shoot for the 15 now... hehehe... I took advise from Princessa and posted on other threads too... Gawd!! I wish I had done a little more research when I had first staerted! I got a volcano and after the first few days I realized I made a mistake... it was Awful! I then went with a Tornado from TW... then the new Lux from Modern Vapor... and then Bunches of eGo batts from all over any sale on them I could find... then I started making mods... everywhere I go I see some object and think... hmmm.. wonder if I can put an atty on that?... I made one out of a cell phone and the cell phone works and takes pictures too!! Now Im into these variable adjustable voltage boxes and you wouldn't BELIEVE the difference I taste and vape when I can dial in a pinpoint voltage based on the flavor... chocolate (my own blend triple C) taste better on lower voltage(3.9v)... and waffle from vaping.com tastes like heaven on high voltage (5.05v)... Mad Grape from Madvapes is like eating one at 4.10v... and another custom blend, marlboro from health cabin in china mixed with kickazzz caramel from madvapes is smooooth and silky at 4.8v...

Late nothin. Welcome to the forum. I do not know mods either, but here's to helping get to your 5 posts. What is your favorite e-liquid and flavor?

Definitely WAFFLE!! before lunch... Banana Bread from Madvapes is excellent with morning coffee, like eating breakfast... after lunch I mess with key lime freeze from madvapes... then around dinner a traditional tobacco ... after dinner a little brandy and virginian flue cured... when I go to the movies I do some wacky stuff like banana... or bubble gum... I was in a restaruant a couple weeks ago and I vaped a couple draws after ordering and this lady almost broke her neck whipping around to see if I was smoking!! lol... she was looking all around for the analog cig... I was lmao... all she smelled was pomegranite... soo funi

What is the most economical variable voltage mod I could try, and hopefully it will work with 510 attys and cartomizers. Thanks for the tips. I will be pasting all of this in my ecig notebook. I think it is time to try variable voltage. Do you have to use different attys at different voltages, or can you stick with an joye LR, or even a regular atty?

what nic strengh are you using? you should try mixing key lime freeze with cola. topvapor is so under rated. dont you think?

VERY under rated... I use 36mg mostly... but I got some 48mg unflavored and will mix it into 24mg from other sites that do not carry 36mg... a friend will do no higher than 24mg so when she gets a new flavor I get some and add 48mg to bring it up to 36mg... honestly I do plan on cutting back to 24mg after the new year... I was a heavy heavy smoker for thirty+ years... and when I started vaping, doing 18mg on up to 30mg did absolutely nothing for me and cravings... in fact when I did 18mg it would give me heebie-jeebies worse than nic withdrawal... ashamed to admit... once accidentally put straight 48mg in a cartomizer and got such a rush and wooooz... thought I was wearing a hat for about 30 minutes... WOW~back to your question... topvapor/madvapes is really a great co. and their juices are top notch as far as I'm concerned... $8.29 for 30ml?? cant beat that with a stick. I get a lot of mod parts there also... I have to tell ya too... I just tried "all-natural" and "Organic" juices from COV... a little pricey but Very very good juice... full bodied and flavorful, except their waffle is honey flavored not maple flavored (or at least very little maple flavor in it)... but it is still good in its own right... I mis "spoke" earlier.. the Waffle I get that is awesome is from Vaporbomb.com not Vaping.com... a few weeks back, a my friend and I ordered like 10 flavors(3ml tester size) from Viking Vapor and I thought for the most part, they sucked, weak and pathetic... she liked them... just goes to show just how subjective this stuff is...

Ok... here is my setups... I use the TI ptr08100 circuit in a 4xAA box, (twin 14500 batts), and a ptr08060 circuit in a 4xAAA box, (10440 batts), with Bigblues Evercool mod... with a couple modifications of my own, I use a mosfet for the switch so I can use a tactile and I wire the potentionmeter to a different spot in the box to have access to the adjusting screw with the cover on. (I will post pics soon)... I also have pth08080 circuit but I'm looking for the perfect box to put that in and like my orginal post stated, I need to find out what pot/adj to use with it. I can make these for the techno-challenged if requested, PM me for details, anyone interested.Since they came out, I exclusively use 510 CE2 v4 cartomizers... 3.0ohm only with high voltage... Ive used 510 LR atty's and cartomizers but on the LR atty, on voltage over 4v, I have to keep it soaked (and I mean bubbly soaked)or it will taste burned and on the LR cartomizers I cant go over 4.2v or it will taste nasty burned. with the v4 cartos, I take out all the silicon plugs... and u cant lay it down on its side or it will leak all over. but my mods all stand up so its not too big a deal.

finally able to post to the modders forum, so heres pics: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...cool-variable-voltage-mod-24.html#post2185724
