If the FDA or CDC gets its hooks into vaping and its products, you can rest assured....HEAVY regulation will follow!!
If our (USA) Government believes it can "generate revenue"/"reduce the deficit" through a tax - of ANY kind - they'll go for it!
The last analogs I smoked were actually "cigars"....they cost $13 a CARTON.....and they tasted like it.....!!
Even at that low price....with the right vaping tools I can still get my nic "fix" for about 30 cents a pack!!
FWIW....I submitted my "testimonial" to CASAA....There's to be a meeting with the FDA on Monday, Aug. 26th....

I submitted my testimonial too. The government thinks people are stupid enough to believe they care about our health, especially the non-smokers and non-vapors. Less people on tobacco - no tobacco tax revenue. Take away the vaping alternative and you're left with pharmaceuticals and their manufacturers lobby the government. Sorry I'm not a sheep. I'm not hurting anyone, leave me alone!

Such BS. It is the same everywhere, the governments just can't stand not to get their hands in on a possible new tax! Just like the liberal democrats are pushing for here. They are trying to find ways to regulate it, drive up cost and in the end will probably try to impose a tax. It is not enough they tax the crap out of everyone already and kill business with such stuff as the new internet sales tax legislation, now they need to find more taxes.

Governments worldwide are the sidlings in the playground, it's BigT, BigP and other multinational giants that pull the strings, they are 'the hand that rocks the cradle'

Well I for one believe that the US government wants you to continue to smoke cigarettes, and get new young people hooked too. Smoking increases the tax revenue, but the real disturbing aspect is that smokers die off early. By dying early you help keep social security solvent. The US government raised the age needed to get social security past the age most smokers live to.

Think about it, they know cigarettes are deadly, yet they keep them legal and easy to get for anyone over 18, they know vaping is vastly less harmfull, so the gevernment is turning to its different agencies to get vaping severly restricted or outright banned. Its all about money, first get all they can from the people, then do all they can not to give back what was yours to begin with.

è un po che non mi collego, vi volevo aggiornare sulle ultime novità della legislazione italiana, la tassa del 58% è entrata in vigore dal 1 gennaio e oltre a far aumentare i prezzi del 300% stabilisce che tutti i rivenditori debbano fare un magazzino fiscale come per i tabacchi e hanno lasciato la gestione a AAMS (monopoli di stato), i tempi di rilascio delle autorizzazioni sono lunghissimi 6-8 mesi e ad oggi alcuni hanno fatto richiesta, ma non sono ancora autorizzati, quindi i negozianti non possono rifornirsi.

Alcuni produttori hanno presentato ricorso al TAR e per ora la tassa è stata sospesa in attesa della decisione del giudice il 5 febbraio.

Forse c’è qualche collegamento con questa folle tassazione per uccidere il mercato esistente e far fuori la concorrenza?

Comunque noi non molliamo e ci faremo sentire, domenica 26 a Milano ci sarà una manifestazione alla quale parteciperanno oltre ai vapers anche le associazioni di settore, anche Phil Busardo ha dato il suo sostegno
