Silly question, but I have not owned my MVP long enough to be super familiar with it.

Question ... When I charge my MVP via the USB port on my computer, should I click the main button 3 quick times to turn it off before recharging, or just leave it on during recharging? ... Does it make any difference?

Thanks a bunch,
Ron

I think it's fine to leave it on. As I understand, it's designed to work as a passthrough, meaning that you can vape on it while it's charging and it won't effect how quickly it charges. In other words, if you vape while it's charging, the power comes from the source using to charge the battery rather than the battery itself. So, I think it's fine to leave it on. I've never turned mine off while charging and it doesn't seem to be affected one way or the other. I've been using it since October.

Doesn't make any difference. If you use it while charging you will only be able to check resistance/voltage or change settings once for some reason. After that the screen stays dark until you unplug it. No idea why both my MVP2's do this as my VV V3 lets me check and change the entire time it's plugged in.

After charging I usually turn it off and on to clear the puff counter (I like to know how many puffs I get on a full charge.)

The MVP isn't a TRUE passthrough, as in it does draw from the battery when using while charging. It's more of a passthrough feature basically.

Yes, the green light turns off after the device is fully charged, I noted that you said you are using your computer's USB port to charge it - this in my opinion has 2 drawbacks. The first is that it'll take ages to charge and the second that if something were to go wrong (remember although the MVP2 is friggen awesome it's still just a $60RRP device from China) you risk ruining your computer. As a general rule, I don't plug anything into my computer's USB port that isn't a mobile phone or USB stick or something worth more than $60. I've been using my mobile phone charger (5v output) with no bad effects for probably 4 months now. I really recommend charging it whilst you are awake just in case something were to happen. The MVP2 when plugged into a wall charger will work as a passthrough except when the battery is really, really low and then you just need to wait 5 minutes.

FWIW.....a typical USB 2.0 port will yield ~5V @ 500mA (USB 3.0 CAN yield 5V @ ~900mA.....)....
BUT...as alstar5 noted....charging will take (literally.....) HOURS....AND.... you run the REAL risk of causing problems with your PC's power supply...
Me.....I'd rather blow out a $5 "wall-wart"......than my new $2500 gaming PC......!!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!
