iTaste MVP 2 & Igo-W4 RDA Questions

Hey,

I read on this forum a lot but rarely post. I have an Igo-W4 that I bought from fasttech (can anyone confirm if the version fasttech sells is authentic or not?) and an Innokin iTaste MVP 2 that I bought from the local Vape Shop.

I have never built my own coils, but I bought the Igo W-4 so I could experiment. I want to do 2 coils at 2.0 ohms total resistance. I'm not sure how this really works..

Would I build 2 2.0 ohm coils, and install them into the Igo W-4, or would I build 2 4.0 ohm coils? I heard that the ohms of each coil added together divided by how many coils you have is how resistance is calculated.

I'm clueless on this matter. If someone could shed some light I'd appreciate it! Should I use cotton or silica? I want clouds and great flavor!

I vape 30/70 PG/VG and 12mg nic.

If the FT description says "style" then it is a clone and the real deal typically says "authentic"

IGOs are pretty simple so I wouldn't worry about it too much either way.

in your case you want TWO 4ohm coils.
This is parallel wiring.

Though 2 ohms is not hot for what a dripper is capable of and I believe you can run lower impedance on a MVP, if you are used to clearos and cartos you will probably want to drop your nic level and raise your vg ratio.

Even if you are not cloud chasing you will probably want to drill out the air holes on the IGO as they are absurdly small. If anything there are just pilot holes.

Thanks for all the great responses! I am chasing clouds, but I don't want to sacrifice flavor. I have some lower nic flavors to try if I want to do lower resistances.

What is the lowest resistance I can push on my iTaste MVP 2, without killing the battery too fast and making big clouds? I have some 1.8 Ohm pre-coiled silica wicks coming from FastTech and might run dual coils with it. That would be a total resistance of 0.9 ohms, would my box mod be able to support that? Would you recommend it?
