I see your black one Erikbal and im jealous. The seller is sending me a black skin today to make up for the mistake, so I wont write a bad a review, mistakes happen. Hope he feels the need to send me some juice too ;)

This thing rocks but I have a question. I adjust the wattage and it sets the volts, but then when I set the volts it still says the same wattage. I am a newbie, but this seems like they should change when you alter the other. Also, I am vaping at higher wattage than the charts say, but not getting burnt taste and the vapor is room filling...is this still bad? How should I operate this to get the most out of it. I have iClear 16B and 30B and evods. Love how the evod's work, but they get pretty hot with heavy vaping.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I mostly use the Evods with my MVP. When I first got it someone suggested that I push the P button and set the watts to 7.00 or maybe 7.5 and do not use the U button. I've followed that advice, and I'm very happy with the performance that way.

I am not one to "fiddle" with things and constantly change them. I don't think my taste is decerning enough at this point to tell the difference in my juices anyway. So I'm happy leaving it just where it is. I haven't burned anything or ruined anything, which is important, too.

By the way, I think your wood grain is very snazzy!

Any Variable wattage device sets the safe voltage. The converse is not the same. I stick with VW since I am a coward.

not sure that is exactly right... I dont use VV mode but i have helped trouble shoot someone that was buiding coils and using the MVP. He thought his MVP was broken because he couldnt get it to go over a certain number of volts and it was too low. I back calculated it and it was right at 11Ws give or take. He replaced the atty with a stock evod and he was able to set the MVP to the max volts. Could be a coincidence but i dont think so. Again this is all speculation. Example - 1ohm coil @ 11watts is drawing 3.3 volts he couldnt get it to go over 3.3 volts. When i get bored i will have to test this theory but will need to put it on the multi meter to verify what it is outputting.

I always vape my Evods on 7W. 7.5 if the coil's getting gunky and I can't change coils yet.

Vaping MBV Hawk Sauce with Blue Moo standing by.

If you look at pbusardo's video review of the MVP2, what you explain is exactly what seems to happen.

The device appears to have a hard limit of 11 watts to the coil regardless of whether you are in VV or VW mode.

In VARIABLE VOLTAGE MODE:

It would never fire a 1 ohm coil higher than 3.3. volts which equates to 3.3 amps and 10.89 watts
It would never fire a 1.5 ohm coil higher than 3.9 volts which equates to 2.6 amps at 10.14 watts
It would not fire a 2 ohm coil higher than 4.7 volts which equates to 2.3 amps at 11.045 watts.

Clearly this not a case where the unit is reaching an amp limitation as the maximum amps the unit is rated is 3.5 amps, and in all three cases above the amps are nowhere near 3.5

EDIT: The 1.5 ohm coil seems low at 10.14 watts, but if you consider the MVP reading the 1.5 ohm coil at 1.4, which is not a ridiculous idea since I've seen the ohm readings on an MVP fluctuate +/- .1 ohm, then a 1.4 ohm coil calculates to 10.86 watts which is more in line to the other two readings.

The ONLY explanation for this behavior is that the unit senses resistance on the coil, and then compares that to the set voltage and if the calculated wattage, for that resistance and voltage exceeds 11 watts, then the unit throttles down the voltage to get under a "programmed" 11 watt limit. (since watts can't be measured, only calculated)

:rickroll: Cool...i figured that was the case. i would think that the bigger the company they would have to worry about litigation from someone doing something stupid...i imagine that most APVs are similarly designed. My vape shop makes you sign a waiver stating that rebuildables and mechs are advanced and the user acknowledges the risks inherent in them.

Haven't seen that.. It seems to be unique to Innokins. The Sigelei and similar units using the famous 33.3 hz chips seem to be mutually exclusive in that you can squeak more or less watts by going into variable voltage mode. In variable voltage mode, these devices simply rely on the 3.5 amp limitation and don't worry about watts.

I keep my MVP in voltage mode. I figure, if anything, I save some battery life from avoiding my MVP to calculate needed voltage for wattage setting. Second, if it misreads my coil resistance, I might get a burnt taste, or maybe even too low power. I do all my coils around 2.2 ohms anyways. I'll probably move to 2 ohm with my next builds.

On another note. I gave KFL another go, did a solid silica build at 2 ohms. It's a different vape from my evods. Slightly warmer, more flavor, better nicotine hit (definitely felt that one), wetter, smoother vape feel. All that at 8.5W. I also get a bit less vapor production. However, I prefer the vape from my evods and mini protanks (*gasps* heresy!) and I'm moving away from RBAs. Just less hassle for me, I'm just so used to the feeling of evods and protanks that I'm not looking for any sort of upgrade or searching for that perfect build or whatever. It's still enough of a hobby for me with recoiling evod/protank heads and mixing my own e-liquids, so it's not that I'm not willing to fuss around with stuff. I just prefer that slightly colder, a bit less head hitting vape, not to mention their size and weight.

Kayfuns are great, no doubt. I even got the real deal. But crazy as I am, I'm sticking with my old buddies. (unless they come up with an ego threaded mini version, then I might return lol!)

I don't blame you. Kayfuns can be a bit overwhelming. The reason I went with a Kayfun is that I'm weaning myself to zero nic, and at zero nic, my Kangers were delivering next to nothing. I was getting really muted flavor and no throat hit. Now I understand throat hit is a function of nicotine content. So when I removed that, I was getting nothing. The Kayfun gives me more flavor out of my juices so that zero nic is less than an issue. I was really concerned that once I got to zero nic, then vaping would stop being pleasurable. The Kayfun changed all that for me.

if it is too warm open that air valve up some...you need air to make vapor and it also cools it. I vape 30+ watts on my mech and it isnt much hotter than my MVP at 8.5W. To bad you are in Croatia or I would make you an offer on your KFL.

:)

Hehe, already got a buyer! I don't have the lite plus, it's the regular lite version so I can't regulate the airflow (unless I drill lol). I didn't mind the airflow though, very close to my evods and less airy then mini protank 2 (which is sometimes just a bit too airy, but sometimes I'm really in the mood for that "refreshing" airy vape).

I must say it was fun putting it apart, rebuilding, putting it all together and all. I like messing with stuff, but only up to a point I guess. I just decided it was an unnecessary luxury. I mix my liquids at around 8mg. Even got a new VPG base mixed at 3mg, I wonder how that one will do. I take it, if I do get down to 0nic, I might just add more flavor into my liquids for more flavor. TH is not all that important to me.

Back-up my friend. Back-up. Never hurts to have an extra for that cheap. No different than having several ego batteries. How many people you know with just one of them??? I figure I can use one while charging the other. Essentially doubling the life. I wouldn't say having more than one of a MOD like this would be bragging rights. Maybe having 5 Provaris would be. Dunno.

That's exactly it. You can frequently find them for not much more than a lot of places charge for 1300 spinners, and they really are a lot better. I love my spinners, but rather than buy more, I will probably get another MVP.

Just got my MVP today and ordered it Sunday night...fast. Sent me the wrong one, I asked for black, but they sent woodgrain. Does have a matching woodgrain 1clear 16B and I also bought an iClear 30B. He sent 2 skins ( Red and Blue ) and a free 15ml bottle of juice. All for $63 on ebay. I thought of sending it back, but I can't...already spewing out Thick White Plumes at my desk at work ( too thick, people were coming over to see the vapor maker ) I have had it for an hour and it is amazing, cant wait to get home and get the 30B filled and going.

Tonites forcast for The Keirster's domicile is...Thick, Dense, Fog :vapor:

Here is the setup, let me know what you think.

Much more distinctive than a black one with a plain old 16B!

i think you got the right one whether you wanted it or not. those 16Bs really chuck the vapor and produce great flavor for little clearos.

Thanx for all.the replies and complements of "Woody" as I call it now. He is filling my living room with clouds of vaping goodness. Playing with the settings. Vaping an 80/20 that never produced any vapor on my ego 650's and there are PLUMES coming out of this beast with the iClear 30B ( Great tank, got it with my MVP). A bit heavier than I thought, but its functionality trumps everything. Takes vaping to another level...still gonna put the black skin on when I get it.

BTW...at 500 on the puff count and battery is STILL green. My spinners are so jealous ;)

You have many more puffs to go before you will need to charge it :)

Yeah - the puff counter is nifty. But I was kind of appalled when I saw how many times I "puffed" all day. Did I do anything else but vape? I guess not.:D

And I love that you call it "Woody"! Cute! I need to name mine. I put a sparkly purple wrap on it it.
