I finally used the 3M Di-Noc I purchased off fleabay. Meh...it's so-so. I would have liked a more total black instead of the small silver strips on the bottom and top caps. But it does have a nicer, somewhat textured grip. I didn't make a template as I free-handed the cutouts with an Xacto knife. However the wrap dimensions are 3-1/2" x 4-7/8".

Fortunately, the new iclear30-S includes a removable drip tip with a much thinner profile, so it may replace my Protank2 and become my favorite tank. ;)

I haven't found much info on this new version, do you have one yet? I saw it available online. Curious about how it works since I don't see the trademark poof of wicks. Looks almost like a carto, but isn't described as one.

I should be getting my MVP v2 along with some MBV juice in my vapemail today. I'll post a quick blurb once I get it. I assume the jump will be great since I'm moving from a Kanger EVOD battery with a Kanger T2 head. Mostly skimmed the posts, how does everyone like the performance of the iClear 16s? I hear they use a doil coil design which is different than a standard single coil. And as far as measured Ohms are concerned, are the two coils in series to double the Ohms or in parallel?

I've been thinking about the gunk that builds up on the coil lately and wondering if that's the reason for the reduced vapour production on some other kits I purchased before the MVP.

Is that a possibility? I mean it has to effect the amount of liquid able to get to the coil in order to be heated to vapour right? :what:

Hey quick question for any rba mvper. Will vaping 1 ohm on my MVP do any damage?

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

I doubt it'll work at all. Most regulated mods have a low ohm cutoff. Personally, I wouldn't vape a 1ohm coil on a VV/VW device. Puts a lot of strain on the electronics and won't give you any benefits. Go with SR and get more coil surface area.

 just dry burned my iclear 30 again and well..noticed the coils weren't centred so I thought I'll gently tug that to the centre. .mistake!
Now I need to replace the whole atty.

Pulled the damn wicks out of it. That'll teach me.

hey,

bingo on the 1st, build up reduces production from any / on any

a good thing from this :
you "get it " - seen a problem & tried to fix it (your training is almost complete, grasshopper ;) )

No, but it should arrive this afternoon :) I ordered here: Innokin iClear 30s Clearomizer Tank Dual Coil

The main drawback of this setup is that you wont be able to access the coils through that carto-looking sleeve, so if re-coiling is your thing, this one isn't going to be for you.

There will always be some discoloring on the wicks.

You don't need to replace the whole atty, just the head (coil and wick).

Im sure this has been answered many times, but does anyone know the approximate percentage of battery light left for when the light changes?

I usually charge it when it turns yellow, but Im wondering how much life is actually left at that point. Mainly, if I were planning on going out would it be wise to charge it before leaving or would a recently turned yellow light mean that Ive got quite a bit of time before it may hit red and potentially quit on me..?

On my V1 yellow means it is time to charge ASAP. Maybe an hour or two tops left. I've only done it once because I forgot to charge. I just put it on the charger every nite before bed. You can not harm it in any way by charging early. In fact, frequent charging may even help keep the two internal batteries more in balance.

Ill just start charging it sooner then. Thanks for the response.

One more question, I'm thinking of rebuilding my own coils soon. Since the MVP 2 has an OHM reader how safe is it to use it to test coils? It doesn't look like it fires when checking but I really don't want to risk ruining my battery. Does anyone use the MVP to test their coils?

The MVP2 works just fine. I've crossed referenced it with my multimeter plenty of times, and it's accurate.

101vape.com has the starter kit with the iclear30 for $39.99!!! What a STEAL! I ordered another just because. Can't believe what I spent on my ego starter kit compared to this. Ah well... Just thought I would pass it on. Looks like they only have black, FYI.

Yes, I quoted myself lol. That's even cheaper than fasttech.
