I've had my MVP for a couple months now and it's so good. The only problem is the ohms suddenly jump around while on it. Like earlier I was taking a draw off of it and it suddenly cut off. I checked the ohms on the built in and it read .9 from 1.9. I fiddled with it a few minutes, turned it off and on and it jumped to 3.4 ohm. Fiddled again and it was back to 1.9 and working fine.

This is my best guess on what's wrong with it, thankfully have a backup vap on the way in the shape of a hammer
(And a new top for the MVP in the shape of a kayfun. :D ) so I have something to use while I try to fix this little problem.

so you didn't say what topper you're using ?

do you have any replacement coils ?

swapper - wapper another coil in, bet that fix's `er... :D

Well, just fix it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/559634-fixing-mvp-vv3-contact-issue-guide.html :)

I hadn't seen that before. Must be fairly new on FT. I wouldn't touch that thing even if you could find coils. You have to completely invert it to try to wet the little wicks.

I bought a clearo from a site similar to FT that claimed to take Kanger heads. It does not. First and last time I will buy anything that is not authentic and tried and true.

I have been very lucky with my overseas purchases. I tend to keep them to drip tips, RDA, RBA clones and have had success. Some items have good descriptions and I have found that those are the best to get as they have been vetted, also look at reviews. I add my own to steer people to the best stuff.

Garemlin...you sir have had a run of bad luck recently. Here is to hoping it ends and you are back on the happy vapor path :toast:

It will only show it one time. You have to unplug it to make it show again .
cigarette free since 8-3-2013

Something I've noticed... my display sometimes won't show when I'm charging?

as stated, there is some sort of ‘glitch’ in the MVP circuitry
that locks out the display while plugged in after one use (both buttons pushed)
seems if you check ohms it happens for sure, but just & only touch
the (+) or (-) it doesn’t happen (all the time)

this doesn’t happen on the iTaste VV...

:)

Awesome job on the guide!

So in the past month I've bought 1 MVP2 for me, 1 VV3 for the wife, 1 MVP2 for a buddy, 1 VV3 for my buddies wife.
Do I get a sign!? :D:p

I post it up here for all to use my friend. It was an idea I had and the work of Popus on the photo shop. The idea was a banner for all to use so please fly our flag proud!

If that's the case, disregard my comments , I will pretend it makes a difference then lol.

Well...it may make a difference. Pressing the fire button all the time to turn the MVP2 off/on between puffs may lead to premature fire button failure.

The most I ever got out of a charge was 750. But lately I average 300-400 most.

I dunno what is going on. My gf gets 700-800 puffs on hers and she uses the Aspire BDC's alot.

Worst Case Scenario => your MVP2 is dying => new one for $39 => less than the cost for a carton of analogs :headbang:

Does the Iclear 30 that comes with the MVP 2.0 have a glass tank that I can buy, or is this a crack proof tank. I don't want to go adding my favorite creation of butterscotch and a touch of cinna-bomb to find out the hard way :)

Might want to consider an IBTanked. They're GLASS and you'll love 'em!!!

Baditude's IBTanked pyrex glass tanks: Review:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3318-3-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks-review.html

I keep hearing about these carto tanks and most comments I have read say they blow away all the others in taste and vape production , seem pricey though.

Taste, vape, TH and convenience (no heads, coils, wicks) are what drew me to CartoTanks.

For the first 4 months of my vaping adventures I tried a succession of the "next, best" Clearomizers. Then I tried a CartoTank and Never Looked Back!!!

"pricey"...Well the IBTanked (the "Cadillac") is about $30 but most sites carry "generic" CartoTanks for $8-$15 to get your feet wet.

For anyone who is interested in getting their feet wet, discountvapers.com has a generic carto tank for $2.99. They have exceptional customer service! Haven't tried mine yet, feet still dry. :2cool:

All these clearo concerns will be fairly met with a little device I call "The Flavor Enhancer"

A Kayfun is the perfect partner for the MVP, IMHO

It transforms the vaping experience to, shall I say, intimate levels.

Vaping becomes more of an Etherial, or might I say, existential experience.

He'll, just get one and watch a few YouTube videos like I did. Game Changer!

BTW, I have learned 90%of my vaping knowledge from this thread =)

I just built a coil for my new KFL +, and everyone is right. Wow, all that flavor, and I think it vapes even better than the Nimbus I sent for at the same time.

I wish I was brave enough to drill out the nimbus, because the draw is really tight in mine, but I love being able to test juices so easily!

I'm using the all steel sections on my Kayfun, and I miss being able to see the juice levels, but I vape too many tank crackers to use the plastic tanks. Next, I will probably want the Kayfun 3.1 with Air Control. Those Kayfuns really are the best vape I can imagine. I don't even want to use my Protanks any more!

I took a couple of RDA's to a local B&M. They have a guy that fixes mods who just happened to come in while I was there. He drilled out both my RDA's for $5! Did a great job. Maybe you could call around and see if someone could hook you up.

I'm spending my $$ to stock up on nic for the freezer for the vapocalypse, so I'm trying not to read all this Kayfun is AWESOME stuff - lol! But I will take your protanks if you're done with them ;)

I agree....even with my rebuilt coil heads. As for drippers...if you don't want to drill it out...get an Atomic...good air flow choices...great taste and vapor and a pleasure to build on. You won't be disappointed.
