....@gerrymi, bought a clearance special Carto (45mm) tank from DV for like 3 bucks or something been using it on my SID for about a month now....have to admit it taste great for a Tank, it's the old style kind if your not careful you will have a hand-full of juice in no time flat...did learn with my thicker juice i need to get the slotted Carto's or i have to prime puff between hits....just might pick-up a newer locking DCT model.

I keep hearing about these carto tanks and most comments I have read say they blow away all the others in taste and vape production , seem pricey though . Anyone have any experience with these and if their that good why aren't more using them?

Thanks

I've tried quite a few clearos top and bottom coil. None of them seem to wick fast enough at 10 watts so I go back to carto tanks. These are a bit slidey and the cartos are crap but you get drip tips with them:

$11.88 DCT Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Dual Heating Core Atomizer (5-Pack / Large) 5-pack - green/purple/light blue/yellow/red at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$11.30 DCT Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Dual Heating Core Atomizer (5-Pack / Small) 5-pack - green + black + red + blue + translucent at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They take the XL size cartos:

BOGE - LASER PUNCHED

Multi-pack deals:

Boge Mix'n'Match 5 Box Deal

The filler in the Boge cartos is very dense. I do the thermometer shake to pre-fill with 50 drops. Better watch some videos if you decide to give carto tanks a try. Well worth the effort IMO.

Now if I could just get whichever P.O. that's holding up my FT Russian clone to send it to me...

Well...it may make a difference. Pressing the fire button all the time to turn the MVP2 off/on between puffs may lead to premature fire button failure.

Worst Case Scenario => your MVP2 is dying => new one for $39 => less than the cost for a carton of analogs :headbang:

Might want to consider an IBTanked. They're GLASS and you'll love 'em!!!

Baditude's IBTanked pyrex glass tanks: Review:

Taste, vape, TH and convenience (no heads, coils, wicks) are what drew me to CartoTanks.

For the first 4 months of my vaping adventures I tried a succession of the "next, best" Clearomizers. Then I tried a CartoTank and Never Looked Back!!!

"pricey"...Well the IBTanked (the "Cadillac") is about $30 but most sites carry "generic" CartoTanks for $8-$15 to get your feet wet.

Thanks for the info gerryimi.

I just built a coil for my new KFL +, and everyone is right. Wow, all that flavor, and I think it vapes even better than the Nimbus I sent for at the same time.

I wish I was brave enough to drill out the nimbus, because the draw is really tight in mine, but I love being able to test juices so easily!

I'm using the all steel sections on my Kayfun, and I miss being able to see the juice levels, but I vape too many tank crackers to use the plastic tanks. Next, I will probably want the Kayfun 3.1 with Air Control. Those Kayfuns really are the best vape I can imagine. I don't even want to use my Protanks any more!

I recently got a Protank and I like it better than the others I have tried , I do have a Kayfun coming so I am debating to continue with tank systems or just use the Kayfun as my main vape.

The carto tanks do sound like they are better than the Kanger tanks although I do like the T-2's thanks to Gramelin .

The T-2's are slim , cheap and work well and I never had one leak so they go with me when I go into battle lol.

Thank you DS , the one thing that's driving me a little nuts is the shipping with fast tech , hoping to still be around to sample my order by the time it gets here but there's a high likelihood I could expire prematurely waiting for it , even though I'm in my late 40's.

Nah.. mine was just the body and not the kit unfortunately :(

I read that the height of the ring is 13mm, most of the other rings I saw on ebay is about 10mm.. should it be a problem?

Other beauty rings will work with the ego threads. I have a Protank beauty ring and it works well. Drop by a decent B&M and they should have some to buy. Good luck.

Didn't know you can buy just the body , that would be what I would like , I don't need the same kit components every time I buy one.

Yup. Use the ego threads.

I'm pretty sure the diameter of the ring for the big threads is proprietary for the MVP2. The ring from my V1 doesn't even fit my V2.
