Finally getting caught upon this thread! Yesterday, ECF was almost unusable for me. :(

I must say, as much as I love my Maraxus and Nemesis clones, my MVP is still my go to mod. Much easier to push the vape button, and the battery life is wonderful compared to them. Will definitely need to get a spare MVP!

I am just waiting till Innokin releases or is about to release an MVP 3 so I can pick up more version II 's for an even better price . I know I am dreaming but could you imagine a buy one get one free or a MVP blowout sale $19.99 , I can barely contain myself , must slow down and get a grip .

That would be the Tesla. I got mine on ebay from this seller for $44.95 while they were having a 1 days sale. Regular price is $49.95. That is the cheapest I found it.

Tesla VV/VW Mod - Tesla Variable Voltage Mod, Takes 18650 Battery - US Seller

Love the looks of your Black Tesla. (Plus I need a mod with VW.) (I'm too lazy/stupid for VV.) (Thus no prothingy in my future.)

Found a "Tesla Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod" on FastTech ($32.55) but some (although not all) of their pictures look different than the one you posted.

Are there different Tesla versions or models?

$32.55 Tesla Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod - 3.0-6.0V / 3.0-15.0W / 1*18650 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I started with 28 guage but went up to 30 guage and the coils fit better and are lot easier to get in position between the post. 5 wraps with 30 gauge gets me around 1.8 ohm.

Is this using the proverbial 1/16 drill bit?

Naw, that was spent on the first MVP, the V3, a PT3 Mini, an Aerotank, and a whole lotta juice.... actually, I think all that adds up to more than $152... I'm waiting to get to $200 before the next purchase. Willpower...!....?

Man , if there's one thing I hate it's needing to establish will power , not an easy thing to do (especially when your a part of a forum that temps the he_ _ out of you at every turn) , what are friends for lol.

haha, i can see it now on the streets of Louisville..."dude holding sign...Will Work for Vapor" or asking you "Mr. can you spare some Jooze" :vapor:

when it comes to Will-power (Modding), i have none!.....gotta have it

Yeah, that would be me holding the sign but it wouldn't say "will work for jooze " it would say "please kill me" .

Question!!!!! Alright, it seems that I'm charging my battery too frequently. I charge it now about every 1.5 days. Would love to build that up to an even two or three :). I've only gone yellow one time in the two months I've had my MVP2. Now with that said, I've been thinking about getting a mech mod too (just to become familiar with them). From my readings, it appears that batteries perform best at the 3.7 v range (as seen on graph comparisons of the Sony VTC 4 and VTC 5 and the LG. With hat said, am I charging my MVP way too prematurely when it gets to 3.8 or just hits 3.7? How many hours could I expect it to run at 3.8 and 3.7... Before needing a recharge? Normally vape at 6-7.5w on 2-2.4 ohm coils.

I know I read that recharge often is not an issue, but I really want to get the maximum life out of my baby.

Your confusing scientific theories there. One doesn't really have to do with the other. Lipo batteries are happier at a higher state of charge. Not only is it ok to charge early but it is healthier for the battery to do so. I charge mine every night.

As to just how long will it run at 3.8? Just way to many factors there to even guess but 3.8 is where it runs the longest. It drops to 3.8 fairly quickly and then stays at 3.8 for a long time and then 3.7 for a fairly long time and then it drops off pretty quick.

As far as maximizing the battery life, a generally accepted average for a lipo cell is 300 cycles. It looks like you are averaging around 2 days per full cycle. That's 600 days. Chances are I'll drop it, run it over with a car, the fire button will go, or the charge port comes loose or some other physical catastrophe will take it out before the almost two years of expected battery life.

Willpower!? I know I don't have that! Vaping has really shown I have none! To quote someone form the general forum. "Vaping gives me GAS as in (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)"

Love my MVP2 but I want an all blacked out mod. So I decided to save up for a Stealth Provari! I was able to handle one at my local B&m and that thing is sweet! My black KFL+ fits so nicely on top! Time to start selling more of my Disc golf collection. any disc golfers in here!?

I am not convinced myself yet what the optimum charge routine is for the MVP. I was reading a thread yesterday and saw three separate posters say they had theirs for upwards of a year and it's still working like the day they bought it .

I was so intrigued by this I asked each one what was their charging routine and I am currently awaiting their answers. Surprisingly from what I have read ( and it's a lot ) it seems the MVP's that have perished early were charged much more often than necessary.

So I am not convinced just yet (despite what battery University says) that charging and topping off all the time is what it takes to keep an MVP functioning for as long as possible.

Not until I hear what these three members have to say at least lol.
