X.1=Worst vaping purchase ever for me. YMMV. I have a 30s coming. Hearing good things on that one. innokin has a new metal and glass clearo out called the Gladius. Looks to be made out of stainless steel rather than the plated x.1.. Hopefully they got this one right.

Yeah, the only reason I tried the x.1 was cuz it's pyrex. But not a fan. At all.

HA! LOVE IT! Personally I would have used duct tape.

Does it function the same now?

Gives us more on this FrankenMVP!

It works great, still watching for any issues tho. I got rid of the old battery(wouldn't charge) and used a 18500 instead. I took out the usb charging pcb and ran the power connections straight off the vv/vw pcb. Ran the wires out the bottom to a modified battery holder form a flashlight. It was made to have 3 AAA so chopped it open and took out the guts. I drilled holes in the top and bottom to run wire for +/- connections. It was the only battery holder I had so if it holds up I will get something better.

The button does not light up and it still gives the 1 E. 1 error code when the battery is first put in. The error is internal battery failure, and I think that that is why the lights in the button don't work. The LED display still works, and all the settings I have tried work perfectly. The battery is not acting up in any way, but only time will tell if the fix will last.

I gave up all my iClears and went to Aspire BDCs. For me the taste & vapor production was just as good but the Aspire's don't leak.

So have I.

They also make a Mini vivi nova S tank that is glass and steel. Much nicer than plastic when it comes to cleaning and swapping flavors.

The coils seem a bit hit or miss QC-wise.

I have had better luck recently running them at higher voltages; seems to help if the juice is vaporizing on contact, but you will get duds.

Still.. my favorite inexpensive clearo to date. Just wish they would work on the coil QC.

That goes for all companies though.

They need to make the coils better for the price they are asking.

So I pulled the plug and bought the VTR and a pt 2 for just shy of $60. I love my MVP 2 and plan to possibly replace that eventually with a newer one but am looking to up my game a little more with the VTR.

Nice! I am planning on getting a VTR as my next APV, but I will probably still use my MVP 2 for out and about, considering how heavy the VTR is.

Oh and btw, I like your handle :thumb: I was just watching Burn Notice earlier today on Netflix :pop:

Wanted to ask this here where I can get some innokin lovers' views. Still have my MVP2, it is my daily vape and I love the quality of it. I just fear eventually replacing it. I'm possibly looking to get another regulated device and am stuck on one of three things: provari, vtr or a Hana mod clone. If I go with a vtr, I'll be buying it today as I found a spot where I can get one at $45 with a coupon code (only camo green version offered). I know if I post this elsewhere, I'd get a ton of... Just get the provari. So what do you all think? Is the VTR durable and worth it?

I am starting to see more people bring this up and everytime i tell them this , the MVP is a disposable device , the vast majority know this very well before buying one , most like that because you don't need to buy a charger and batteries .

Now when you weigh the benefits of it and how long they typically last it's a huge bargain and replacing it when it finally does die is a no brainer.

So I did the o-ring thing a few days ago and that made the pin sit higher than usual which seemed fine at first. But it made it so that I couldn't thread my Russian all the way flush and it accidentally got knocked over and ended up stripping out the first few threads of my MVP2. Bummer! :(
Does any one know of a fix for the threading or if there is a replacement 510 connecter available for the MVPs?

It will only ride high for a short period , it settles in and seems to keep the pin at the perfect level as time goes on.

Can you read? It says $45 and I'll post where I please. Thanks

Woahhhhh, hold on there TTQ, nobody addresses Puff Zeppelin in that manner , he is revered on these forums and has great powers that us mere mortals will never understand .

I believe at one point some unlucky chap asked Puff for the time at a less than opportune moment and he hasn't been seen since and authorities fear the worst.

We have a tightly knit group here who respects each other and looks after each other so if you mess with the Puffmeister you mess with all of us , where did everybody go , i hate when that happens.

? Interesting. Never had an iclear leak.

It could be that I am rougher on my gear as there is always a tank on a battery in my front pocket and I'm on the go a lot. Also, I really started experiencing problems after cleaning tanks for the 3rd or 4th time as I used to really change flavors a lot. Something else that could have caused my leaks is that they always ended up upside down in my pocket or in my carrying case at some point. My Aspires are just bulletproof.

So have I.

All mine are glass tanks as well. I have several of each of the 3 different glass models but really prefer the big tanks of their Nova-S.

As for the coils, I had the same problem at first. Lately though, it seems they may have gotten QC in line because it has been a while since I had a dud. It may be because of the new nautilus. It almost failed before it got off of the ground due to QC on it's coils. I bet they cracked the whip in the coil factory and the aspire BDC coils benefited from it as well.

It has been a while... I've added a DNA30 clone into the family and now happily juggling it and the mvp2. Decided to keep the DNA30 at home for cloud busting times and the subtle mvp2 for on the go.

I do realise the difference in how each of them hit when I vape, surprisingly I'd prefer a harder hit of the dna compared to the mvp2. Not to say that I'll let my mvp collects dust, it still has its place for smoother vape.

All I can say is, I'm loving my box mods!

Keep us posted on that VTR. I've been eyeing one for a while and would like to hear the opinion of an MVP owner on it.

Will do. I've been thrilled with the MVP2 but have been starting to go to my mechs occasionally to get used to them. My VTC4s are starting to feel neglected as I haven't used them much. I'm hoping my VTR will help me overcome my fear of my vtc4s. Figuring I use a 30% off coupon code for $64 VTR is worth it... Or so I hope.

edit: just wish they offered another style besides camo green.

I do this with my mech mod right now. I've got my Fogger sitting on my MVP. Clouds = mod, regulated "regular" vaping on my MVP. Sometimes, I leave the house with both.

DNA30 clone might be my next purchase... but if I was going to spend that, I would probably just go ahead and get a DNA30 chip and mod my MVP to run it, like:
MVP to DNA 30 conversion

Actually show the 20, but should be the same.
Stealth DNA30 MVP = winning.

The MVP2 gets its first torture test this week! Traveling from Virginia to Massachusetts to Pennsylvania for a big round of family visits; I'm taking the MVP2 and my Spinner II as a backup, and plenty of liquid. Aerotanks as primaries with spare heads, and a couple of EVOD 2's as options of last resort. Based on all I've read and the first few days' performance, I think I'll have to charge it....maybe twice, and will be more than happy upon our return.

Of course, on our return I will immediately fire up the Magneto and IGO - it'll be cloud-generating time!

Use the retractable cord and leave it plugged in while driving..
