I've got a question for you all I picked up a kayfun 3.1 the other day and I'm not getting very much flavor from it I made a 2.1 micro coil for it (first coil I ever did so that might be the problem) but it doesn't taste like anything any suggestions or tips? Should I try building another coil?

How's the vapor production? I honestly can't imagine a reason for a kayfun not producing flavor.

What type of wicking material are you using? What v/w setting are you using? Any chance of a pic of your build?

seems like it takes a while to warm up even on 11 and 5 but then I get decent vapor not as much as I want but suitable. I'm using peaches and cream cotton yarn for wicking

Well if the coil was built correctly, and it's wicking fine (no burnt taste), and you're getting a consistent ohm reading, I really can't think of where else it could be going wrong.

I assume this is a flavor you have tried in other toppers before and never had a flavor issue yeah?

yea flavor has been fine in other toppers the ohms do jump sometimes to 2.1 or 2.3

Heck, I said I would never own a Vamo but I just ordered one from the Vapor Joe Pre-buy for $20 bucks(US) delivered because at that price I can play with it for a few of weeks and still sell it for more than I paid for it.

I love my Vamo V1, the V5 from FT not so much. This $20 job has a different screen and floating center pin. Please report back so I can kick myself for not jumping on this deal!

Still trying to get the MVP back from the $%^#*(& neighbor lady. Unbelievable...

30 gauge and yep it heated up nicely

on your MVP , right

suggest

-32ga kanthal (I find MVP doesn't like thick wire)
-build closer to 1.5-1.8Ω coil
-less yarn

also maybe you're finding out the limits of your juice (I've realized that for some of mine)

:)

Hey everyone, I've had my MVP 2 for about a month now and Love it. It has made some of my favorite juices taste even better. I love the long battery life as well. I have two questions though, the first one is, is it normal that after fully charging the charges doesn't stay @ 4.2 when you start to use it. Mine always goes straight to 4.1 after a few puffs. The second question is I noticed a couple of times I was at 3.7 on the battery charge and it went down to 3.3 and cut off. Threw it back on for a good 15 minutes and was at 3.8. Does this happen occasionally, maybe a bad reading?

Mine does the same thing after full recharge. Mine has never dove down to 3.3 though. What coil resistance are you generally vaping with? I do not go below 1.6ohms with my MVP2.

Ahh so I guess the 4.2 thing is common. Normally in my clearo's I will stay between 1.8-2.2. I have been learning the ropes with a small dripper the first coil I had down @ 1.2 but now am around 1.4-1.5 I guess I need to bring the ohms up a bit. Do you think that could have done any damage to the battery unit?

Mine always goes to 4.1 almost immediately. I've not had your second issue, though.

Kind of one of the fun things about the Vamo. You can order a v5 from 5 different places and get 5 different devices  I have a big mah unprotected for my flashlight so I didn't have to buy a battery for it so I said what the hey, it's a twenty dollar gamble.

To the others on this thread that ordered, when you receive it, please chime in here. Also, if any one got the tracking, please speak up.

1150 ordered now

Guessing that when you tightened it down you crimped the wire too much (or not enuff). It happens. You have to tighten so every once in a while it gets squished wrong. That could give you erratic readings. Especially when it's heating. Only thing to do is build another one.

But again... only my best guess. Bad KF? Could be. All clones are not created equal.
