Hey everyone, I've had my MVP 2 for about a month now and Love it. It has made some of my favorite juices taste even better. I love the long battery life as well. I have two questions though, the first one is,
is it normal that after fully charging the charges doesn't stay @ 4.2 when you start to use it. Mine always goes straight to 4.1 after a few puffs.

The second question is I noticed a couple of times I was at 3.7 on the battery charge and it went down to 3.3 and cut off. Threw it back on for a good 15 minutes and was at 3.8. Does this happen occasionally, maybe a bad reading?

I believe the true full charge of the internal battery is 4.15v
(which would round up to 4.2v)

it is just hit and miss as I've read some NEVER see 4.2(only the 4.1)
so 4.2 jumps to 4.1 very qwik, then settles out throughout the remainder of the volts range

as far as 3.7 to a qwik 3.3 then cut off, I don't have any comment on that beyond
I never let mine get that low (charge soon/charge often)

:)

Was thinking of getting another MVP2.

Ran across this VAMO V5 vs MVP V2: Best Cheap APV for 2014! video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EU-AoOXayE

Decided to get into the "group buy" (3 Days, 16 Hours left as of this posting) Vamo V5 $19.90 with free shipping:

Cheap E-Cigarettes - Best Electronic Cigarette Online Sale - Worldwide Free Shipping

EDIT...Link doesn't seem to "work" here??? So...just go to "www.focalecig.com" and click on "Group buy".

You haven't been following along Gerrymi

Ok any idea's on how many wraps I should do?

I do 7 wraps of 30 gauge Kanthal around a 5/64" bit (actually an Allen wrench because I lost my drill bit) and it comes out at 1.6-ish. Works great for me. I squeeze the coil together before I install it, but I don't do the dry burn/pinch thing because it doesn't cover as much wick when it's super-compacted like that (and hopefully that made sense.)

FWIW, here's a great set of vaping-related calculators, including one for coil wrapping.

Because we told them about it doesn't mean that they are aware of it let alone monitoring it. If they were they would have fixed that F*&%ing ego/510 situation by now because we have been complaining about it for going on a year now :(

-Innokin is a BIG technology company
-ECF is the biggest / most popular e cig forum on the ww web
you’re gonna try and lead me to believe they don’t surf, look, monitor
ALL THAT GOES ON in here and wherever it could benefit them...
(and yes I know about the easter bunny & tooth fairy)
I envision Innokin HQ looks like ESPN with all the football games
on multiple monitors in one room…

{bonus info}
I noticed a few weeks ago Innokin changed Logos

logo-innokin (1a).jpg

We proudly introduce to you the new image of Innokin!!
This new logo embodies the qualities which the Innokin brand represents:

Ahh so I guess the 4.2 thing is common. Normally in my clearo's I will stay between 1.8-2.2. I have been learning the ropes with a small dripper the first coil I had down @ 1.2 but now am around 1.4-1.5 I guess I need to bring the ohms up a bit. Do you think that could have done any damage to the battery unit?

The MVP2 only goes up to 11 watts which for me is too low to power anything below 1.6 or 1.5 ohms. 1.6ohms is marginal. 1.2 -1.4 is absolutely too low a resistance for me so I go to a mech mod for these builds whether its an RBA tank or a rebuilt stock coil. I don't think it will damage the MVP2, it just will not give you the power you need. Perhaps over a prolonged use of vaping lower ohms it will damage it...

I have read many of the comments on the iclear that comes with the MVP2. I will never own another top coil atty. I have removed the top plastic cap from mine altogether. It creates a super warm tasty flavorful vape. It does cause much condensation in the tank. I draw it very very slowly to avoid any juice pops as the tip of my tongue does not like it. I have tried to modify the top caps in every way possible with little luck. I have it sitting on the side with some thick cappuccino in it and when I want a hit of that it is always there...

I was hooked on the taste of iClear16 and 30s for the longest time. My only complaint was that eventually they would all begin to leak. The local B&M got me to try an Aspire BDC and after that, Aspire is all I use.

Kind of one of the fun things about the Vamo. You can order a v5 from 5 different places and get 5 different devices  I have a big mah unprotected for my flashlight so I didn't have to buy a battery for it so I said what the hey, it's a twenty dollar gamble.

To the others on this thread that ordered, when you receive it, please chime in here. Also, if any one got the tracking, please speak up.

1150 ordered now

I jumped on it and bought tracking for $2 more. I doubt I will like it better than my MVP just because of the size and capacity but I like the idea of having a VV/VW that I can get new batteries for if Vapeageddon ever comes to pass. Well, that and it's a SHINY and I haven't bought a SHINY this week yet!

I'll report back when tracking gets here.

If others please post tracking info I will get an idea when mine should come. I will be gone for 6 weeks so I decided not to take the tracking option; I have never had a problem with focal on the past. But some idea of when it will be waiting for me at the post office would be nice.

pardon the typos, on my phone :)

Please do chime in when you get tracking :)

Right behind you
My 510 connect on my MVP went bad. Like on a bump today my patriot went flying off and committed sepaku. :(

But bought a nimbus and a 510 to 510 adapter ( 2$ at local b&m)

Enjoying this!

Via spontaneous binary code
I have a nimbus sitting there ready for my first rebuild..glad to hear someone (else, i have heard a few) topping with one and liking it!

:2c:

didn’t care for the i30 and gave up on it qwik and passed it
along to a friend…

but had a couple i16’s that I WISHED worked better...

so not caring about the sad little i16 I ventured to cure it
what I noticed was, coil out, holding base in hand looking thru hole in center
bottom was bigger than top, so I tried to ‘drill-it’ and found a ‘tin’ insert
so I put tin back in, then pounded a nail thru it (making hole bigger)
well it worked like a champ afterwards… (that’s where the RESTRICTION was)
so my question/suggestion is :
is the “i30” designed the same way (look and see) and maybe do the same…

~jus sayin'~

I'll have to check that out!! It's full atm so maybe I'll take it apart tomorrow. :highfive:

Has anyone sent their VTR in for repair? Mine had stripped threads, so they gave me an addy to send it for repair. I worry that they will try and charge me for it. This is the only mod compact/rugged/handy enough to carry on the job so I had to buy another while waiting on the repair. I wonder how long it will take?
