A noob query here, which I hope somebody can help me with or point me in the right direction.
I've bought an Igo-W7 for first go at rebuilding. I made a 12-wrap (not too pretty) single coil with Vapinology G-plat 26 wire. Put it on MVP, and ohm reader showed 2.4 ohms. Gave it a short dry burn to get rid of any factory grease and confirm it was working. (Got so excited, missed the next step of heating the coil, squeezing it for hot-spots, etc - must try harder). Then wicked with cotton and added e-
juice. Now it's reading 1.2 ohms. Took a big draw, and learned the difference between a dripper and a clearo. Took a few more draws. When my eyes stopped watering, checked the ohm reader: 0.8 ohms. Left it sitting a couple of hours, went to fire it up - nothing doing, ohm reader says 0.7 ohms (which I know is below the level at which the MVP will work).
I'm not sure what's happening here. Could it be a short? Or does the e-
juice and cotton have an effect on conductivity / resistance? Aside from a neater coil, and doing the heat-n-squeeze thing, I'm not sure what I need to do different next time. I'm aiming for around 1.2-1.5 ohms, which I understand keeps the MVP happy.
