Well...for what it's worth...GrimmGreen gave the Aspire BDC's a mediocre review...the BVC's he said "feel like a cartotank" and have "replaced his Kayfuns".

BVC V2...Wonder how the Version 2 BVC differs from the 1st???

Just purchased a nautilus mini....Vapes pretty sweet. Gave it to my wife for her 1 year vape-aversary and kept the other BVC for my full size nautilus....hehe:)

Cool. Do you know the approximate dimensions of the screwdriver so I know for future reference? (5/64s, etc)

What guage of wire do you use?

jandry, I'm guessing 3/32" with 30g wire. It's bigger than 5/64, for sure. Still no burnt hits, and I've almost emptied the tank :)

Here's the quartz kit (they also have a mini version) for under $5. I hear the glass is thin so get a few spares if you order.
$4.89 Kayfun Quartz Tank Kit - stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The tight draw comes from the drip tip. It has a small 2mm hole. If you replace the drip tip, it opens up a LOT. I found it works perfect for me. I tried with another drip tip with a much bigger hole (5-6mm) and it was too open for me. The KFL+v2 comes with a different tip and I don't know how big the hole is.

If the screwdriver is the double end that most of these come with, it's 2mm or 5/64" (1.98mm). I found it to be a bit small and the 3/32" works really well for me.
Wow...thanx KTM, I didn't realize FT stocked them. I will be ordering a full kit with about 5 replacements...you're the best.

if anyone is interested in replacement tanks (wide assortment)...."Bedazzle Glass Tubes" has nice thick glass that won't break if you breath on it and w/most Tanks top quality O-Rings come w/it; the description will tell you........of-course you also have to have the kit or Caps with it or before-hand.

the problem with the cheap kits say from FT are the o-rings won't hold a seal and the glass breaks so easily it ain't funny...so beware

Still having major issues with my Nimbus , only one coil gets hot , both coils are lined up perfectly with both air holes and both read identical.

herb everytime that's happened to me, one of the screws are not tight enough to make a good contact, tighten your center post a bit and the coil side that's not firing and see if you get some better results....also make sure nothing is touching with the cap on....those coils look very close to the edge to me on one side.

On the other hand, could have been over tightened. Crushing where it's tightened and therefore making that section of the coil essentially thinner under the screw. Can happen often if the bottom of the screw has sharp edges. It will tear the wire.

+1 as sando sez

also looks off set to me

if it be me, I make the coil 'legs' even

I'd shorten those "+POS" legs
and lengthen the "-NEG" legs

all my coils are as close as I can get them with the legs...

So, my MVP is officially getting depleted. It's giving me around 400 puffs with 1.8 double coils at about 9 W (about 4V). I have no way to replace it for the time being (not sold here, can't import anything except for once a year and the paperwork is so difficult it leaves you breathless), so I'm going to rotate it with my other PVs and use it until it no longer lets me use it unplugged (maybe another 7 months). A shame, I was growing fond of it, letting me vape all day long without need of taking another PV on tow.

Next: going back to 650 amp twists and a PCC. Nothing else available here.

I am thinking of getting Vamo V5 and rotate between MVP and Vamo.
What do you guys think? Or should I just get another MVP. I need 2 just in case I forgot to charge or one goes bad.

I have 2 Vamo V5's. If you're ok with buying batteries and a charger, then go for it. It's a good pv. I have one v5 in mini mode with 18350's if I need/want something a bit smaller. I had some 18650 batteries for some flashlights so there was no added costs. I did order a couple of Efest 3100mah purple batteries from Amazon which had the best prices ($20 shipped for 2). I'd also recommend the Nitecore D2 for $16 or the I2 for $11. The extra 5 bucks gets you a cool screen that tells you what's going on with your batteries as they charge.

If you do decide to get one, make sure you get the updated chip and oled version. One v5 resets back to default settings when I replace the battery but the other is a version just before the updated version that remembers all the settings. Both will remember RMS or Mean setting though. Some have issues with the 510 connectors so they use a 510 air flow controller so you screw the atty to that rather than the 510 threads on the v5. I ordered 2 for mine. The latest version has a puff counter and battery meter too.

I'm fond of passthrough PVs, have you thought of an eVic or an eVic Supreme? That's better than the MVP having replaceable batteries and not needing a charger to charge them. I have it in the 18350 mode with a tube you can buy almost anywhere. It's the one on my avatar.

I have a Vamo V3 bought at FT and like it, not that much because it doesn't have a passthrough capability. But it works great.

I have a V5 (new version). if someone were to offer me a new MVP for it, I would make the trade in a heart beat. I don't hate the V5 but it is big and clunky (if you want any kind of battery life). I don't hate the vape on the V5 but the MVP is smoother and more consistent. it does go a volt higher than the MVP and I like being able to insert my mech battery and using the V5's battery meter to ceck status.

Prose and con's. I persomally recommend you pick up a vv v3 (short money) as a back up/buddy for your MVP and then think about going to replaceable batteries.
