well 2 Weeks ago I was "on the Fence" wondering which of the above I would "Pull the trigger" on ... My Decision ???? ... BOTH OF THEM !!!???!!!....
So, they arrive on Tuesday this week & within Seconds there is bits of envelope & packaging all over the office!! .. I starts off with the Evic Downloads the new Software sets up the "MVR" fills up one of my Iclear 30's & off we go !!!!
EVIC (Day 1)
Verdict...
Well its "OK" I suppose not a lot of vapour about but its "Passable" .... spends some time "Tweaking" the various things on / in the MVR to get it just right ... good throat hit on the Menthol I'm using & a "Moderate" amount of vapour all in all YEAH I COULD live with it, but NOT without "Worrying" what would happen if I dropped it or sat on it in my back pocket. also the readout is sooo damned small I had to find my reading glasses to find out what "Mode" I was in (or connect it to the PC!!). The "Go" button is "Odd" being as its NOT "Round" it feels "Loose" when pushed
OVERALL SCORE ...................... 6.5 out of 10 (if you like "geeky" things then THIS IS FOR YOU)
ITASTE SVD (Day 2)
Verdict...
Well, this IS different!!!, swops over my Iclear 30 from the evic (This should give me the same Comparison EXACTLY) .... Right from the first "Drag" I could tell this was a country mile different ..... Stronger throat hit... HUGE vapour plumes & felt "sturdy" in my hand I wouldn't scream like a kid being dragged out a candy store if I was to Drop it or sit on it .....
Basic "Button Push" set up system, with clear "Large" LED readout (no looking about for my reading glasses) ....no hoping it would "stand on end" while charging just remove the battery & throw it into the i2 on my desk & fit another one .... "go" button is solid & very "touch Friendly"... Audible (subtle) "noise" when pushed (I like that alot!!!)
OVERALL SCORE ....................9.5 out of 10 ..... there is a TV ad over here in the UK for "Cuprinol" (A kind of "garden Fence" type Paint) the "catch-phrase" they use is "IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN"... no geeky type things, just down to earth WORKS like it was designed to do........ Well that the Itaste SVD ..... Fill it up, install a battery, Switch it on & vape away all day long ......
CONCLUSIONS
For me, & remember I had NEVER tried either the Evic or the Itaste before..... the Itaste SVD wins HANDS DOWN its in many ways far Far superior to the Evic ..... Probably the best analogy is .... "Your walking down the street with a Cold Coke in yer pocket .. its either in a "Durable" plastic bottle that you KNOW if you trip & fall you'll NOT break it ...... or its in a Rare Glass Coke Bottle that you are wanting to keep safe & it being in your pocket your mind is always "on it" being there (In case it gets broke) ......
& Besides .. the size & weight of the Itaste SVD .... If you were to get "Mugged" you could probably just turn it round & CLOBBER the Perp over the head with it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........ so if it stopped working as a Vape device it would STILL be Handy to have in yer pocket!!! ..... DEFFO 9.5 out of 10 !!!!!!!
