Hi everyone! I am currently using a Halo Triton with a 650 battery. I guess I am a fairly light vaper as it typically lasts me around 3 days. I am looking to purchase my first upgrade to see what all the fuss is about and I have decided to go straight to a VW mod. I have narrowed it down to an iTaste v3 or an MVP 2.0. I am leaning more towards the iTaste due to it being much closer in size to the Halo. I think the 800 battery would last me at least a couple of days, but I am not sure how much the extra features effect the battery life. What are your thoughts on this? The MVP 2.0 seems to be more highly recommended and popular though - is this just due to the shorter battery life on the v3, or are there other issues with it as well? I would be getting the newer 6 rivet version if I decided to order one. I am open to other suggestions for mods as well, but these two seem to be some of the highest recommended while still being at a decent price.

TL;DR Are there any reliability issues with the newer iTaste v3's? For a light vaper, is the extra battery size on the MVP 2.0 worth the extra bulk?

Hey entering into the vv/vw world, although may seem a bit scary really isn't. I use both the vv 2.0 as well as the MVP 2.0. Both are great ! It lets you see the resistance of your atty and control either your max wattage output or how many volts you are sending. I give the MVP more of a thumbs up because it lasts super long on 1 charge.

I just upgraded from the ego c twist to the MVP and I couldn't be anymore happier! I absolutely love the MVP and I've only been vaping on it for less than 24 hours. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed! And you can even charge your phone on it, which definitely helped make my decision between the MVP and the vv much easier!

If the VV3 is more to your liking form factor wise, then by all means, get that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. As others have said, the MVP is also a very good device and the battery will last even a fairly heavy vaper almost a couple of days. It is however, substantially larger and heavier than the VV3. It is also more versatile in function.

I could recommend either device without reservation; pick the one that works for you. Good luck and welcome!

I've got both the VV3 and the MVP - I would say purchase both, but i appreciate that isn't always within everyone price bracket.

If I had to choose one, i would go with the MVP. The battery life is astonishing, and even though it weighs more, i got used to it very quickly. The VV3 is a great portable unit, slips in your pocket much easier and it is much, much lighter. Depending what power you vape on it, it should easily last a day of use.
I am what i consider a "light" vaper, as I keep in line with how many analogs i used to smoke a day, which was about 12-16 rollups, (stress dependent ;) ) - I would consider the VV if you only need it to last a day, and don't go chain vape at 5 volts..

Decided to pull the trigger on the MVP 2.0 and a couple of mini protank 3's since the 2's were out of stock and I wanted to order it all from one site. Can't wait to give it a try. I'll be ordering all 3 Cyclops Vapor flavors to give it a good testing.

Edit: I should mention for anyone who finds themselves with the choice between these 2 devices.. I ended up going with the MVP because I work from home. When I do go out I can still grab my Triton for now. I have a feeling that the MVP may make it seem inadequate pretty soon though.

You will not regret those Mini Protank 3's. Don't forget to get some replacement coils, dual coil that is. :vapor:

How often do the coils go out? Where is a good place to purchase some that fit these tanks? I've never had to replace a coil before, just the preassembled wick pieces on the Triton (which just screws into the tank).

I have both, the MVP tends to stay at home most of the time and the iTaste v3 goes with me.

This right here^^^^
I also have both and the iTaste v3 is super portable friendly. The MVP2 is great for at home. I do take it to work but only to play with it. The vv3 lasts me all day I puff a lot. Both great devices and so far the best money I have spent on vaping. The only major difference I see is the battery life.

I was going hard pitch vv3, but you found your fit! Grats! I find if you have the form fit, it is good to have something a bit different to grip so you do not have much of the same in shape and size. I keep looking at the MVP and wanting one due to it's semi side by side form, but then i remind myself I spent well over 300 in the past month on my mech mods :p

You should get 2 with each tank, but you can find them pretty easily on just about every decent retailer site. I ordered some off of ebay when I bought the PT3 and Mini Pt3s, this is the guy I ordered the Mini's and the coils from. Kanger Protank 3 and Aerotank Long Stem 2 0 Ohm Coil 5 Pack Authentic Kanger | eBay

Not a bad price at all, but the coils should last a while. I have been switching coils when I switch flavors, not everyone does that. Since I have only had them for two weeks, I really haven't had one go out yet.
