Just simply swapping the Ithaka ceramic holder and ceramic into an existing Ody costs $17.59, if no other Ithaka parts are upgraded. Assuming you have the resources to cut off the ground tube on the bottom of the new Ithaka holder.

The new Ithaka ceramic nut (inside cup) does fit the Ody center post's threads.

I ordered 2 large & small top caps, 2 top tanks, 2 GG style mouth pieces, 6 ceramics & 2 holders, and 2 inner top nuts, for $170. These are the parts I feel that are the upgrades that I wanted the most on my 2 Ody's, to give them Ithaka's features.

To make the Ithaka ceramic holder work with an Ody center pin the threaded ground protrusion at the bottom of the Ithaka ceramic holder would need to be removed.

Humm , the rebuildable part fits Ody , but what you are saying if you use Ody's center pin it will work if you cut off the bottom of the metal ceramic holder and it will work in the 510 mode/base , right ? otherwise you have the Ithaka rebuilable part but it only works with the GGTS in the Ody/GGTS base only. ?

If you make the modification to the Ithaka ceramic holder it will be interchangeable with either Ody base using the shorter Ody center pin with its positive nut.
With the modification the Ody can be upgraded to an Ithaka dual coil for less than $20. And you can upgrade all of the rest of its parts as well, EXCEPT for the Basic feeder, and Adjustable center pin. You can keep the Ody stock or you can improve it depending on what you the end user are trying to achieve.
Ody's are so well designed and built why not upgrade? In fact if you upgrade all of its interchangeable parts you will have more variable options for its tanks size and appearance, single or dual coils, several different MP's, plus 2 different style caps. It will be quite versatile and more importantly complete since if you own an Ody you already have all of it's parts, so there's no delays, other than the current pre-order.

Thanks for the info Poppa D :)

I would like to maintain my Ody V1 with its original ceramic holder as it was a special gift, however I will buy the: Ithaka's center post top nut, engraved ring and clear window for it. I'll keep using the Ody V1 top cap & top cap nut.

I have two Ithakas to play and experiment with :D

One thing I discovered last night was that due the Ithaka's center post is too long in GGTS mode, 18500 protected batteries do not fit inside GGTS in the usual configutation: Engraved tube + telescopic tube + collector tank (without the GGTS top tube). I mean 18500 does fit, but some telescopic tube threads will show.

I will try adding an extra o-ring to Ithaka's center post, so the ceramic assembly will fit higher up and the center post will protrude less.

You can remove the adjustable nut on the end of the center post to shorten it by a few mm. This piece only serves a purpose when using the 510 base, it is not needed when using the GGTS connection

Oddy with GG base and Ithaka 510 adjustable AD?? The positive pin on Oddy is not long enough. I really wanted to make this work so I got out my box of spare parts and this is what I came up with.

I took the insides of an old 510-ego adaptor apart. Just unscrew the slotted part and push the two metal parts out. There is also two silicone spacers in there, I used one of them. I then used a dremmel to shorten the small metal part with the female side of the threads and remove all but the threads from the male half.

At this point I had two small metal parts that screwed together ( adjustable length ) and I put the silicone over the outside. Next, I put this assembly into the bottom of Ithaka 510 connector. The silicone keeps the pin centered and the length is just about the same as the bottom section of Ithaka 510 connector.

I have used this setup on Stealth and Provari. Oddy reads .8 ohms on Provari with dual Hilander coil setup. Provari won't fire it above 3v but still working good on both.

I don't have a camera to show what I did so sorry for the long post. I am just so happy to have Oddy working with the adjustable AD from Ithaka.

Thanks, Imeo for making such an awesome product with so many different combinations to discover.

Imeo I realized odys mouthpiece has shorter base. Its not screwing all the way on Ithaka rebuildable. Any ideas?

Yes if i remember correctly i think it was mentioned earlier that you will need an ithaka mouthpiece on the itahaka rebuildable, i could be wrong though =)

Odysseus short mode mouthpiece works fine on Ithaka's rebuildable part, for example to configure Ithaka in micro mode. :)
