Ithaka clone o-ring

Got mine yesterday cleaned and started putting it back together then loaded it up and it was hitting like a champ after a while I started getting a gurgle looked into it and the bottom o-ring was broken the one on the stem that insulates the coil wires . I looked for parts and found them at stormys but I want to use it for today does anyone know where I can get an o-ring till my stormy order comes in? seems like I read that Lowes has some of them anywhere else?

The size is 3 x 2 mm ( 3 mm id, 2 mm cross section, 5 mm od) if you can find one that is just as "fat", fits on the stem (smaller id is better than larger) is should work just fine. Home Depot, chain auto parts "Help" line of products perhaps.

Check to make sure your center pin is reasonably centered, if it isn't it pulls that o-ring all over the place during tightening.

For the future, and general purpose use with a variety of toppers... you can buy o-ring "cord" by the foot at The O-ring Store, and make your own o-rings. I find that many toppers use common sizes of 1mm (Buna N70 cord), 1.6mm & 2mm (EPDM & Silicone cord).
