It's what the chemist I know called it. I've never seen or touched it so I'm just parroting ;)
Well I've seen it, but only inside a glass bottle. As for touching it with one's skin, I suspect that would be bad.

Wikipedia also states it's "oily", whatever that's supposed to mean ^^

The powder is likely a nicotine salt (last step is acid). Don't know if it's ready for vaping but that alone doesn't make it unvapable per se. No idea what the next steps would be to make base liquid, that was just isolating the nic.
Maybe the salt is less likely to deteriorate quickly and that's why that's done?

I'll be fine if my vape still looks like this in 10-20 years.
Game changer.jpg Am looking at a couple of mech for the "just in case" stash.

I have no idea. Based on the market today they will be more precise, and probably do a lot of things they don't do now. I'd love to think, "More power!" has a terminal limit but I'm not sure it actually does. I have no clue what a coil capable of handling 1000 watts would look like. Etc.

This is an optimistic approach. If e-cigs get limited as the FDA is stating, they will all be closed, pod cardboard tasting things, and the pharmacist is going to "consult" you on the fact that they are harm reduction devices, so don't even THINK about you know, enjoying them. Harm reduction needs to suck, and you need to be punished for even thinking about it. (I hate "mandatory" pharmacy consults) although at Walmart, they "are" mandatory. My pharmacist spilled one of my meds during consult and it needed replacement. She did not appear to find my, "So, no 10 second rule on pills then?" question to be very funny :lol:.

I will be vaping much as I do now today.... Perhaps with a bit more resentment, but I should in all likelihood be fine, and I may well have obtained a "bakers license" or whatever I need.

I have a black thumb and I kill plants and live in the desert. If necessary, I would still find a way to grow tobacco, and extract it if needed. I can go outside my comfort zone if I want to enough. But, I will be damned if anyone tries to take away my vape. I used to say I'd join the cigarette mafia (with pride and joy) if smoking were ever discontinued in the US. I would be equally dedicated as far as my vaping habit.... etc.

Because of the e cars that will be produced I think we'll have better batteries at a lower price although I don't have battery problems now. I've got two vaporizers I no longer uses because all efforts to switch to SS coils failed although it was stated they will work with SS, I use the 2 newer vaporizers that can use SS coils which is great. I make my own e liquid and wouldn't mind seeing the flavors improve a bit.

At this point in time, I don’t have high expectations for the future of vape for new folks wanting to start. I, like a large majority of long time members here at ECF, have stocked up for the future.

We have experienced a boon of new products in the last decade but government is looking at shutting that down. It is a shame because we are on the cusp of major improvement and leaps forward in technology, making safer and more durable units.

I hate being pessimistic but the government has been taking away our rights slowly and our voices are usually not heard. With the huge increases in illicit drug overdose deaths in our country killing the children, I think the government would be better served focusing all their attention on this rather than a legal substance such as the nicotine used in ecigs.

Just my:2c:

If the FDA Deeming Regulations go through as is. The FDA seems intent to ban "open systems" where you can add your own e-liquid of choice. FDA seems to be favoring the tamper-proof "closed system" devices that prevent you from using your choice of e-liquid. Ie. cigalikes.

Those of us who prepared for a worse case scenario will be DIY their own eliquids and vaping with a RBA on a mech.

Yeah, I'm not very optimistic. :(

And along with the pharmacy consult they will make you sign a register every time you purchase, with a limit to how much you can buy in a to be specified time frame. (Like they do for certain cold/allergy otc meds). Like anybody's ever gonna jump through those hoops...am thankful every day for my stockpile.

Makes one consider behavior patterns during other "prohibition" times. Resurgence of Speakeasy's, word of mouth vape networks. The digital divide may help or hinder such networks, not sure.

OTOH in 10 years we may have come to the far side of regulation and "anti".

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

In the early 20s World Health Organisation declares vaping to be no more dangerous than breathing.
Both the US and the EU relax all vape legislation.
The WHO and the UNITED Nations demand all developing countries to follow if they wish to receive aid payments.
By 2026 the number of cigarettes sold globally drops for the 3rd consecutive year .
2026 saw the first time more tobacco was harvested for liquid nicotine than combustible products.
A major Swiss pharmaceutical company has developed a vapable anti cancer drug.
Flu vaccines are routinely vaped.
Life is good and everyone is happy.

Those of us who prepared for a worse case scenario will be DIY their own eliquids and vaping with a RBA on a mech.

...or with an RBA on a Provari; or an Aspire CF Mod, an Innokin SVD2, or a Pico 75W, or a huge number of other mods that take an 18650 battery or 2. Some with physical limitations (making using an RBA difficult or impossible), may even be using stashed cartos & carto tanks, disposable clearomizers, or other tanks and factory-built drop-in coils they've stashed in quantity.

Important thing is to BE prepped and ready, with whatever it is that each of us needs or uses, to vape in the future. I know that doesn't include mechs for me personally, but I've definitely got what I'll need for years to come.

For the joke i would say :
Tabaco company give up cigarette because they succeed to take over the whole vaping market after the whole world consider vaping as "safe". Then put the tons of cigarette chemical substance into their own e-liquid to have ppl correctly addicted. During that time the govemment keep increase vaping price to -help ppl stop vaping- so get sweet money from taxes. They take such a good care of our health.
And more ppl sick, more money for the "health" department. ( well that's speaking about the US )
Thoses company are happily swinming into e-money swinming pool, and also help solve Human overcrowding issue. Safer earth.

Joke aside, considering how it grow, and at see country like UK, who keep push vaping because its safer than smoking, i can see that keep going on at the expense of the tabaco industry more and more.
So have the science keep help vaping always be safer

In 10 years time from now, what will vaping look like?

Will there be 1000 watt mods that are tiny and people will be walking around blowing ridiculous clouds that would put all of today's most extreme cloud chasers to shame?

Will it go in the opposite direction and will there be vapes that do not produce any clouds at all?

Will it be all trendy and will there be vapes that make different colored clouds when you exhale?

Will something completely new that doesn't yet exist have taken over by then? Much like the patch existed before vaping, but now that vaping exists, who would want to bother with the patch, if vaping is better and more effective? Perhaps something new will come along eventually that will be different than vaping and replace it?

All I know is that the vapes 10 years from now won't be like the ones we have today I think.

First, it's already gone in the opposite direction as far as vaping trends go.. MTL, lower wattage and nic salts are all the rage right now..

As far as what vaping will look like, well that just plain depends on government intrusion... it might be a beautiful thing, or it might be all black market.. God only knows!
