I know not a huge accomplishment but, one week since I had a cigarette. I smoked for about 25 years and tried to quit several times. I once made it for 2 years that was about 15 years ago. Today on the way into work I smelled a smoke and didn't like it, that is a first in my life I think. I always, even when I quit the first time, loved the smell.

my new problem is the cost of this new hobby/addiction I have spent upwards of $250.00 and I'm just getting started. Form the first vape I knew I found my way to quit. I didn't even crave a smoke today just a few hits off the APV. So far I'm loving the red apple and banana cream pie from my local BM shop, I have a few different juices coming in the mail from different online retailers tomorrow.

Thanks for for letting me tell my story.

Not a huge accomplishment? Holy crap! That's a freaking milestone! When I smoked and quit for 2 hours I expected a parade. Band and all.

And consider that $250 an investment with big returns guaranteed. Can't say that about most everything else now can you?

Good for you my friend.

Yep.
Familiar story.

Figure out your vape budget.

I suggest HALF whatever you used to spend per month on cig;
After about 1 year, you should be setup for the long haul and should see your way to only spending 10% what you used to spend on cigs;

Your tastebuds are going to change so try not to buy too much eliquid right now.

what's your hardware?

A big congrats to you Ar10shooter, on being a week long analog free! This is a good thing!

As far as the "shinyitis", "magpie", "Ooooh, look, something SHINY!!!" thing goes, I can't help you with that as I'm still trying to deal with that myself! :)

Welcome to vapes! Grats on one week. Just passed my first month and it went by super quick because I got so caught up in mech mods, RDAs, and building coils. This isn't just a habit, its a hobby. $250 ain't that bad. Can't put a price on your health, right? Just think, once you find your daily setup and some good batteries, most of your money will go to juices.

1 week is a huge accomplishment, congratulations. You can really do it now. I used to get upset with myself about how much I was spending on vape gear, but it does get better once you find out what you like and gain experience. It sounds like you have something now that is doing right by you, so sit back, and consider what you want to improve about it. Then research how to do that, and ask a lot of questions here. Just doing that saved me tons of cash, and made me very happy with my progression.

The up side is you are no longer buying a product that is literally killing you. I considered (and I still do) that anything I spend to no longer smoke is worth it in the end. Good luck to you, and welcome to the forum! :toast:
