My M401 kit ordered on 12/13 came in today 12/28. Which is relatively fast for my APO box in Japan.
Excited. Blew out the liquid in the atomizers and charged the first battery for about an hour, until it turned green and dripped a couple drops of the 16mg 555 liquid I ordered along with it. Not bad. Vaped that for awhile then dropped some 30mg Hawaiian Tropic I ordered from freedomsmoking. Good flavor! Vaped that for awhile then dropped some 30mg Wyatt Earp. Good! I know I'm mixing the flavors but the WE actually tastes great with a hint of the Tropic pineapple flavor.
The m401 gives good vapor and a great throat hit for me now. I am a pack and a half a day ultra lights smoker which hopefully will soon be 0 packs!

Just an excited first time vaper :)

Grats!! M401 is my main PV. I love the flavor and I don't mind messing with the little carts to get that flavor.

I also like to mix in the cart. I mostly vape tobacco juices and my current fave is FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship (Turkish/US tobacco) and occasionally I add a drop of their Chocolate and/or their oRYental (a light sweet RY4 - vanilla and caramel flavors)

BTW - I don't know if you can get it in Japan, but once the white stuffing in the M401 carts stops wicking well I replace it with blue foam. The foam is cut from is MarineRite Rite-size U Foam Sleeve for aquariums. StricylyEjuice also sells little precut pieces that are for a different PV (510/901) but you can cut them down for M401 carts.

Video - this guy is actually using the same type of foam from elsewhere in gray. I make my plugs a tiny bit wider than his because I am not good at cutting a perfect cylinder. The foam wicks really well and lasts a long time - easy to rinse out too, keeps its shape.
YouTube - Blue Foam Plug mod for the M401

You can also just use poly fiberfill (like pillow or quilt stuffing) from a craft store but it's more likely to give a burnt poly taste if the cart is dry. The foam is pretty good good at just tasting dry if the cart needs liquid.

I too still love my 401's even with all the new bigger stuff I have,

the 401 still has the best flavor & most consistent vapor.
The tiny carts just pushed me to bigger E-cigs .

But I still use my 401's

So it sounds like you have a good understanding of what your doing ...but if you need help just ask and someone will help.... there is an 401 specific thread here M-401/402 "Mini" & M403 Super Mini that you might wanna read in .

GOOD LUCK with Vaping & Welcome :vapor:

BTW - be sure to periodically clean your atty because if you don't then it could start to taste harsh or even strain the atty. To get good life and flavor our of your atty -

1. Don't let it get super hot - if it's getting super hot it doesn't have enough liquid or the filling isn't contacting it well or possibly the battery is about to run out of charge.

2. I use 2 attys. Even weekend I put my used atty in a little jar of vodka (grain alcohol would be purer and better). I swish it around and leave it overnight. Next day I shake it dry and lay on paper towels to finish drying. The next weekend I switch to that clean one and my used one goes in the alcohol. You can speed up that drying process if you need the atty right away. Shake out, dry the outside with a paper towel, then blow in the atty until it's dry (with your breath or a blow dryer). The 401 atty is small so it dries from alcohol pretty quick if you help it along.

And enjoy!
