So I bought the tank shown in the image below and everywhere that I go online to check out the specs on it tell me that it's a 5ml tank.

So I decided to check it against the original Nautilus 5ml tank. I filled up the tank that shown below as far as it would go and then pour that into the original empty Nautilus glass 5 ml tank and it only took up approximately 2.5 milliliters of space in the original tank.

Don't get me wrong I still love this stainless steel caged tank for the Nautilus but if anybody else is looking for a replacement for their glass tank and wants to maintain the 5 milliliter size that it uses then I guess this stainless steel cage tank is not the one for them

Just a sort of heads up for anybody that has the Nautilus tank and wants to get a stainless steel caged replacement Tank for it and keep the large 5ml e-liquid size of the original tank.

I'd love for someone else that has both of these tanks to also test it and see if they get the same results but I don't see how I could have messed up basically filling the tank that I shown above as far as it would go and then pouring that directly into the original glass tank doesn't seem like I could have made a mistake but if you've got both tanks please feel free to see if you get the same results . I may not be exact on 2.5 milliliters but it's somewhat close to that when I poured it into the original glass tank

I know that I've suggested the tank that's shown above to people that have the Nautilus tank for a replacement tank when there tank breaks in order to have something sturdier and still maintain the five milliliters capacity without having actually checked to see if it holds 5 milliliters beyond going on the web and seeing all the stores say that it holds 5 milliliters and for that I apologize

I just measured mine and max fill is indeed 3ml. Makes sense as it loses the capacity of the stock glass "dome" where the top screws on, and the glass itself is about 50% thicker (by sight, don't have my mic handy). The stock glass tank actually holds a tad over 5.5 with a max fill. I prefer the new one but now that explains why they're drying out faster, never occurred to me to measure it! :)

When I first bought the stainless caged tank (it was ages ago it seems) but I wondered why I was filling it up more often than the original glass tank but just took it on face value that the owner of the vape shop was right about it being 5ml and thought that I'm just vaping more often and put it out of my mind. But now that I'm still unemployed and even the cheapest of e-liquids is seeming quite expensive, I thought I'd better cut down my vaping to less than 5ml per day. Sad to think that I've got to cut it down to less than 3ml per day LOL.

Thanks for checking it out. I guess all the online shops that have it listed at 5ml capacity are just taking it as fact since it's a replacement for the original glass 5ml tank. Next time I'm in my local vape shop I'm going to let the owner know as I know he's an honest person and wouldn't want to intentionally mislead somebody telling them it's a 5 ml tank when it's only really a 3ml tank.
