You guys rock so hard. Glad to see you with your own sub-forum!
feel free to start threads on every obscure thing you feel like, we are with you on that![]()
Jet engine snow blowers? Those are pretty obscure, unless you're familiar with Soviet-bloc norms. Also, pretty cool use of old engines.
How about the genetic peculiarities of Pitcairn natives?
That's pretty obscure. But not as obscure as life forms at the bottom of deep ocean trenches.
Sweet!! Analog savings going toward a trip to see the Fall Foliage in the Ozarks next month.

How about the study of those Antarctic Martian asteroids?
Hmm.. Xenobiology![]()

SHUSH! That's classified Intel.
OH.... you said asteroids... never mind.![]()
I think we have some of those on the forum.
That's pretty obscure.
But what about Neanderthal dance music?
Well, to be honest, I just made that up. Not that I thought the Neanderthal did, or did not, make music; it was just something that came to mind as a probably little known area of anthropology. But I wasn't aware of any research into it until just now, when I did a web search. I got the idea from just thinking about what sort of obscure music I was aware of, but then I figured even Carlo Gesualdo would be known to serious students of music. So I just extrapolated from there.
So, I have to give Cozzicon the nod on that one.
Well- don't be too impressed.
Women hate me and children are scared of me. I am however really smart- but that only helps in my profession.
I was a music performance major BTW. And I'm Italian... so Carlo Gesualdo would have been easy
Oh.. Seems there is a lot of internet presence for Neanderthal music:
