My eGo and first set of juices are on the mail truck for delivery......nervous:( I am going to a crab feast this evening to watch the fight. There will be drinking involved and I had thought my package would arrive sometime next week- am I ready for this?? Do I bring my smokes just in case? I can't imagine beer and crabs without cigarettes wish me luck.

Are you smoke free now? If so, how long? Is it possible to get something to tide you over, thinking Blu or something similar. Does it really matter? Meh, if I wasn't smoke free I wouldn't worry about it. If you've been smoke free then an alternative is in order.

I got my PV setup the day before we had a dinner party because I was afraid the Blu's wouldn't do it for me. Glad I did since I was chain vaping while drinking.

I suggest you bring both. Try to use your vape some and if you feel like you need an analog then you have them. Just because you have decided to start this journey doesn't mean that it's all or nothing. But bring it and try to start intagrate it into your beer and crab routine. It's important to start building those types of positive associations with your pv. If you never train your brain to think of a vape with coffee or a vape after a meal the analogs will always have a place.

Just my opinion, good luck and enjoy the fight.

Yeah, I agree with Light. Bring both and use both and be comfortable. Vaping is something that is easy to like, and the sooner you start to like it, the easier and faster you'll be able to get off the analogs. Plus, and APV is such a great conversation piece, a real ice-breaker. Everyone wants to know about them, how they work, when did you quit, etc. Marvelous. Good luck and Enjoy your VapeQuest. Power up and Vape On!

I agree, bring a pack with you if your vape arrives before you leave. If you haven't really vaped before you don't know whether you'll like the juice, or if you want to do it all the time instead of smoking yet. If you like it too much you might find yourself vaping a lot and getting a bit over-nicced. Since you're at the beginning stages, it would be a good idea to have some smokes handy for emergency purposes.

Like others have said, this isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. Everyone quits a little differently and it's hard to know what to expect.

Ahhh..fresh crab! Enjoy!

I agree completely with Light and Bill...bring em both for the exact reasons they stated..its right on the money.....if ya have a few analogs or whatever, don't beat yourself up and get disappointed...things take time...Rome wasn't built in a day...just don't give up the Ecigs cause U may not take a shine to them immediately...have fun, have some cold brews and enjoy yerself...main thing is you to took the first step towards the Ecig and the rest will fall into place with your new journey..

Well it's here juice and all. I cleaned it, dried it, primed it, and started in on some juices. I had ordered a few Halo tobacco blends but I gotta say they taste like funky dirt and others like a cigar. Piece hits good, nice vape, feels like I'm smoking but the flavor is ehhhh. Midnight Apple is in now and it reminds me of pipe tobacco mixed with cigar- better than dirt but no Apple that I can taste. Not wowed but I have about 20 more flavors all coming in this week so hopefully one is better than this, lol. Hey as I am typing and smoking I just got some Apple on my exhale......we'll see, lol. I will try my best not to use analogs tonight but as the beers roll down I may have one or two hopefully not.

Hubby is already laughing at me, but I think once I get some better flavors I may enjoy it more. Wish me luck I must go get beautiful now:)

Most all liquids need to steep before U can use them..steeping is basically allowing the juices flavors to be enhanced and change over time...like a spaghetti sauce which is always better the next day or 2 after the ingredients have time to blend in together...so always shake the bottles, and open the top and take off the lil drip tip and let air get in there for a few days ..or let them sit in very warm hot tap water which speeds up the steeping process...some liquids just need a couple days, some a week, some longer..and a few, very few, are good immediately out of the bottle..all flavors react differently to time..I use 555 flavor from MT baker vapor and like it right out of the bottle immediately, but not all are like that..

some juices perform better than others. My advice to people who are starting out with vaping is to find a juice that tastes as near as possible to whatever brand of ciggies you smoked. That transition is much easier. Also, do not be put off by the coughing, remember its vaping not smoking and it takes a while for the throat hit to feel right. Dont beat yourself up if you still smoke occasionally. Think of it as starting to vape rather than stopping smoking :)
