WOW time flies when you're NOT having fun too! School started, kid had problems so we start counseling. Come to find out she has ADHD and they just discover it at the age of 17! Mess with 3 different meds. Finally after many trips to Wichita Falls, TX we get a med that works for her at school and most of the evening. Next up ER trips over the weekend for her having an abscessed tooth. Of course the ER can only prescribe an antibiotic and pain pills. Go the dentist on Monday. Not only does she have 1 tooth abscessed she has 2!! The same 2 teeth we just spent big bucks on. Dentist starts root canals. Before we leave the office she's in so much pain she's crying and the swelling is HORRIBLE. Dentist gives more pain pills and start a different antibiotic. By 9PM that night I've had it and take her to a different ER in town. She's throwing up, her eye is swollen shut and she can barely hold her head up. ER doc starts an iv with a cocktail of all kinds of stuff and we spend the night there. Next day go to the ENT and she's diagnosed with Facial Cellulites. An infection that can be very serious if left untreated. Miss a whole week of school and now the ADHD is in full swing since she's behind in classes. Quinn has to have a tooth pulled last week. Still off work because they had to remove some bone to get the tooth out.............I have to have a tooth pulled and bridge and crowns done. Can't afford it now! WOW I'm ready for a LONG vacation by myself!! Thru all this I have only vaped which is quite an accomplishment for me!

 OMG Stover, you poor thing. (((hugs))))

How is your daughter doing? Is she feeling any better, I had no idea you could go your whole childhood and at 17 suddenly show signs of ADHD. Does her meds need to be adjusted again maybe since she's been sick and all.

Congrats on just vaping and not having an analog. I really hope you can get the work done that you need done soon.

There has always been signs of ADHD but all the specialist say it's harder to pin point in girls. They don't act out and are not disruptive in class. They're more like daydreamers and messy. We had her tested when she was ten but our family dr didn't review the report. Needless to say I was LIVID when he admitted this to me. Anyway she's doing so much better on her medication and has all her work made up for missed a week of school. She has 2 math classes back to back this year because she failed them her sophomore and junior years.............that should have been a sign, but now she has A's in both classes. So all in all she should be able to graduate on time and maybe go to college :)
