((((stover)))) My son was diagnosed with ADHD and depression when he was in the 6th grade. It was very difficult to find a medication the would help all day. At first the dr's didn't want him on anything at night, yeah right, so he can be on a roller coaster ride!! I finally put my foot down after 6 months and told them he needed something for all day!! He started to grow out of it when he was 17 and he no longer takes meds and is doing great.

Sorry about the dental problems what a nightmare :(:(

Since my daughter still has strong ADHD actions, the dr said she will probably have to take something her entire life. If she was going to out grow it, they feel she would've already. She was tested at the age of 10 but our family Dr. didn't see the report and we've been banging our heads on the wall for all this time when all she needed was some medication. She is doing so well on Concerta. Takes it twice a day. She has never made good grades. In fact she's having to retake 2 years of math classes because she failed them. The first 9 weeks of school she made high A's in both classes!! So proud of her!

Wow that is a long to be struggling with that, it can be hard enough with the meds. Glad she is finally getting something that helps. I am grateful my son has grown out of it, pretty much. He had to go to an alternative school his senior year or he would not have graduated because of the math. that school was great, they all learned at the pace they needed. I had one of my sons teacher tell me one time that he didn't need medication, he needs to be disciplined....boy did she get in trouble :faepalm:

It should be name on that diploma!!!! LOL

No party here! Still trying to get my daughter over this infection. They ran a ct scan today and blew her vein out with the contrast. I swear only the weird stuff happens to her...lol I hope enough got in her system to get a decent scan. If not, we'll have to do it again.
