Thought I come to the source of all things Woodvil for help...
At one time I had a full ebony VVW...I loved the way it felt in the hand, it was one of my all time fav. mods.
I've been searching for another full ebony on the classys for a while now, (just an 18650 not a VVW) without a lot of luck, surprise, surprise...
I don't want to be so crude to just offer a .... load of cash to someone who may be thinking of selling (not allowed here) and I was thinking of posting on the trade thread but what I'd like to offer in trade/partial trade/whatever looks like it would be allowed there...
I wondered if my modding services would be of any value? I recognize not everyone has the ability/tools to mill and drill...
...maybe you have a full ebony laying around collecting dust and you also have a bunch of rda's that need bf'ing (or maybe you didn't bother getting the rda's you want cause they weren't bf) and you want your Grands/Mini's milled or want to get radical and go full hybrid...maybe we can work something out?
if this is a ridiculous offer feel free to flame away but I always seem to miss the woodvil sales and , well, I just really want another ebony

But I don't live in Africa.
But in that case there is an easy solution... you find a really good mate (who you have just met online) and if it was allowed he could make an offer for it and it could get onto a plane or a ship across the ocean to the dark continent and bingo! The beauty can live under the African sky forever!
Wouldn't this be a beautiful story with an awesome ending! ;-)

I think though, that the swap thread is limited to only swapping things from REOSmods for other things from REOSmods. A few have slipped by, but Lisa reiterated that recently.

Seems to me, the solution to that dilemma, is to offer to trade whatever items from REOSmods the current owner wants....for example, IF I had an ebony woodvil I didn't want, I might consider trading it for, say, 2 18490 minis, or maybe a regular grand, button cover, and RM2 (possibly in LP or SL or both). Strictly speaking, you're not offering money, you're offering the exact items that the current owner wants, in trade, and they'd be in new, "right out of the box" condition.

^ this. I didn't have to purchase, I just had to play 3 card monty with a bunch of mods til I got my 18490 Coco.
It started with a black wrinkle/ copper vein reo grand.... So there are people who will trade wood for metal( thanks again Angel my angel!)
Once you have wood it's a lot easier to find someone whose been looking for THAT EXACT wood, and would be willing to trade what they consider one of their lesser prizes together ( love you Jan!)

i think i've seen offers like this in the trade thread- "want Reo X, willing to buy you new Y,Z from Reosmods".
certainly worth PMing Lisa to check, Quigs. if i had an ebony, i'd definitely be interested. i'm one of those in the "bunch of RDAs but can't make em bf" category.
I really appreciate the advice, I am new to Reoville though certainly not to Reo's and I didn't want to come across as some interloping new guy...

Not a bad idea...how about this...
1. Send me your standard Reo Grand and pick 2 Ehpro RDA clones off a list I'll send you.
2. I'll supply the clones (brand new), bf them, mill down your Grand, provide o-rings "and" install an SO kit
3. I'll test everything box it up and mail it all back "and" PP you a $100
4. When you receive your stuff and you're happy...send me your 9/10 or better full ebony 18650 Woodvil...

You can post that offer... but I don't think that 2 Ehpro RDA modifications will be worth any woodvil because you can buy 2 rm2 modified by Rob for $42 each.
Also... in my recollection there was only ONE all Ebony mod made 18650 of the last 300 mods (there were 3 all ebony minis tho). There were some more with Ebony doors, and that's it. That single ebony 18650 was the most expensive of all 300. To even have a chance at it, I think you'd better come up with 2 brand new Reo Grand's at least in trade, and hope that the person really doesn't like it anymore (very slim chance of that), or REALLY likes you and wants to help you out
