Little known factoid; El Guapo was played by actor Alfonso Arau, who went on to Direct "Like Water for Chocolate" which won Best Picture in the 1992 Ariel Awards (Mexican Oscars essentially) and was the highest grossing Spanish language film in US history at that time.
