With empty cartos, please make sure they are well filled with liquid that is evenly distributed in the chamber, before first use.
Then, a great way of using cartos is removing the cap with a paper clip, and insert a drip tip.
You can then continue to add drops via the drip tip as, and when, required.
Or for topping up, some people find it is better to just pull out drip tip and add a few drops around the sides of the chamber (as Glenn mentions in the vid), for better distribution of the liquid in the carto.

And not only does this mean you can very easily keep your carto filled up, but the tip is much nicer on the lips, and also protects them in case your carto gets hot.

As with all atomisers and cartos, they like to be kept as wet as possible (but not flooded) for best results and performance.

These are absolutely superb, I haven't touched my vast supply of LR510 atomizers since I got these, vaping is on par with atomizers without the need to continually drip. Filling works well with condom method or dripping directly onto the wool, caps are easy to remove. Vaping nirvana for me .
