Not sure if this has been listed yet but the izi rta was released a few hours ago by Boost Lab.

Its a 3ml single coil small form factor rta that can be used with cotton or ss-mesh. I'm a huge fan of Boosts gear... the k.loud+g is one of my most used rta's. Anyway, it would be great to see others thoughts and builds once they are sent out. Here are some photos and vids for those interested. I'll post my thoughts and builds once I receive it... cant wait.

The list is now closed but another one will no doubt be up in a few weeks... here is Boosts FB link Facebook

also, OughtVape usually receive Boosts gear once they have released the first list: OughtVape

Is that top coil, bottom tank?

Edit: I guess Todd will tell me (after my TV program). : )
yeah mate... top coil - bottom tank. Airflow runs across the coils as opposed to directly on them... Boost has been looking into the Venturi effect.

@TheotherSteveS A little late to this thread, but did you get it working properly or retire it?
Hi bud!

I did indeed. Because of the side air-flow and the tiny chamber, I found it needs the wick to be kept well away from the sides of the chamber and to arrange it so that there is some space for it to breath down each side of the coil. It is very easy to create a juice trap directly underneath the coil and the thing just spits like a spitty thing. With just a bit of space it vapes beautifully!

Thanks for checking in!!

cheers

Same thing I discovered on my first build, kept shoulders high, coil may also have been a little long, was almost like drinking rather then vaping, I realized my error, pressed the coil a little closer together, shoulders low and going directly into the wick holes. Works pretty well now. Glad you got it sorted.

I found this on Fastech.com .....................................

So my izi RTA is coming in 2-days and this is a question to the owners of one, and what they recommend as the best way to keep the RTA as leak-proof (when laid on the side) as possible?

I know I'm asking for a lot...

Just from all the research I've done so far, and I've watched MinWoo build his 3-part mesh & cotton coil numerous times, I'm just wondering if that's still the best approach?

Oh also, any other tips or insights that personal experience you can pass along to me!

I feel like a "soon-to-parent!"

just try a basic u-wick with cotton but whatever you do, make sure the wick doesnt touch the af holes on either side else it will leak, and make sure there is space around the wick so that excess juice doesnt get trapped under the coil. If this happens, it will spit like a .......been there, done that! For this design, you are asking a lot for it not to flood/leak on its side for any length of time. You would really have to pack the wick holes and that is really not good as it will air-lock and it will dry-hit very quickly!
